PASCHIM VIHAR : SENSATIONAL BROAD DAYLIGHT MURDER OF AN OLD LADY (SENIOR CITIZEN) AND ROBBERY CASE CRACKED

With the arrest of following three persons, the sleuths of police station Paschim Vihar/West District have cracked the sensational broad daylight murder of an old lady (Senior Citizen) and robbery. Rs. 6.58 lakhs  of the booty and vehicle used in the commission of crime have been recovered.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED :

(1)     Dheeraj (32 Yrs.) s/o Ishan r/o J-937 Mangol Puri, Delhi.

(2.)    Hansraj (32 Yrs.) s/o Bhauri Lal r/o C-9/149 Sultan Puri, Delhi.

(3)     Aman Kumar @ Chunnu (22 Yrs.) s/o Balbir Singh r/o S-1097, Mangol Puri, Delhi.

INCIDENT : On 07/07/16, a PCR call was received at P.S Paschim Vihar related to the murder of an old lady. The victim was rushed to Balaji Action Hospital, where she was declared brought dead. Accordingly, a case was registered vide FIR No.296/16 u/s 392/302 IPC at PS Paschim Vihar, Delhi. The local police reached the place of incident and found that apparently there was ransacking of the house as well. This was a completely blind case of murder of a senior citizen lady and robbery.

TEAM : This incident had created a sensation in the locality, hence a team was constituted, under direction of Inspr. Sandeep kumar, consisting SI Ramphool, HC Vijay Singh, HC Vikas, HC Manjeet, HC Phool kumar, Ct. Gokul, Ct. Virender and Ct. Sudhir. The team was working under the close supervision of ACP Punjabi Bagh Sh. Ankit Chauhan.

         

             During the course of investigation, it was learnt that bed rooms of the deceased were ransacked and a cash approximately 10-12 lakh had been looted. There was no evidence of house breaking. The deceased used to live with Chunni Lal age-55 yrs who was his nephew. Deceased Mrs. Krishna Devi didn’t have any kid and her husband had passed away about one year back. The house in which she lived was in her name and also had a share in the Shop in Jwala Heri Market. Initially, the angle of property dispute was suspected and all the near ones were interrogated about their role but nothing came out of it. Another angle about the role of maid, Guard, previous attendants of Husband of Smt Krishna Devi was also explored. The version of the maid and guard was not suspicious. Then the list of all attendants of Husband of Krishna Devi was taken and all were interrogated.

            After hard field work and diligent investigation, the police team succeeded in learning that accused Dhiraj had worked as care taker of the late husband of the deceased up till about one and half year back. But after the death of the husband of the deceased, he visited  the house of deceased a couple of times. Even a few days before the incident  also he visited the house of the deceased. Dhiraj was interrogated about his current profession and source of income  which raised some doubts about his role. Ultimately, he succumbed to the sustained interrogation  and confessed about the offence. He disclosed that he had hatched a conspiracy with his friends  namely Hansraj, Aman @ Chunnu  mentioned above and one more person namely Sumit @ Hanga s/o Suresh r/o Mangol Puri, Delhi and told them that generally the old aunty (Krishna Devi ) remains alone at home during the day time and they all will go there in the Maruti ECCO vehicle belonging to Hansraj.  They barged into the house pretending to be members of some Orphanage. Then they made the deceased unconscious and looted the cash and other valuable articles. The lady resisted and therefore they tied her dupatta around her neck which caused death of the accused. After that they ransacked the house and looted Rs 12 lakh approximately. Out of that,  they distributed the booty among them. All the accused persons are being examined intensively in the present case and also about their involvement in other cases.
