2 DESPERATE ROBBERS (INCLUDING A REWARDEE OF Rs.30,000/-) ARRESTED
Crime Branch has apprehended 2
desperate robbers Ravi @ Ganja @ Happy (32 yrs) s/o Late Subhash Gupta r/o
B-428, 1st Floor, Sector-1, Rohini, Delhi and Hari Mohan (34 yrs)
s/o Dashmi r/o 7-G/257, Industrial Area, Delhi. One stolen motorcycle bearing
registration No.DL 4S BJ 6357 was recovered from their possession which was
found to be stolen vide e-FIR No.7368 u/s 379 IPC, dt. 19/07/2015. Both
the accused persons have been arrested u/s 41.1 Cr.PC and the vehicle was
seized u/s 102 Cr.PC.
BACKGROUND: -
On
10/04/2016, 2 robbers of Pradeep @ Golu gang namely Vikas and Ravinder were
arrested vide FIR No.48/16 u/s 25 Arms Act PS Crime Branch who were involved in
12 cases of robbery and Arms Act. The disclosure of Vikas and Ravinder revealed
that their associates namely Ravi Gupta @ Ganja @ Happy and Hari Mohan were
also involved in other robbery cases. A cash reward of Rs.30,000/- was also
declared by CP/Delhi on the arrest of Ravi Gupta.
The sources were deployed to locate Ravi Gupta and Hari Mohan and a team led by
ACP N.K. Meena, consisting of Insp.
Pankaj Arora, ASI Balwan, HCs
Dinesh, Jagdish, Ravinder Kumar, Cts Ankit, Ghanshyam, Anil Kumar, Surya
Prakash and Sudhir was constituted under the supervision of DCP Bhisham Singh
to nab them. Informers were deployed and technical intelligence was also
mounted.
On 18.05.2016, a secret information was received by HC Dinesh that the
criminals of Pradeep @ Golu gang who are also associated with the gang of Kala
Bhadana and are involved in various crimes, trying to cut one stolen vehicle in
the area of Baghpat, UP, if raided, the members of the above gang could be
nabbed.
Accordingly,
the information was developed and the team went to Baghpat. When the raiding
party reached Baghpat, it was informed by the secret informer that the accused
had changed their plan and would gather under Wazirabad Flyover, Outer Ring
Road, Delhi. Accordingly, the raiding party reached there and laid a trap near
the place of information on the signal of the informer a Discover motorcycle
was spotted under Wazirabad Flyover and rider was identified as Ravi Gupta and
pillion rider as Hari Mohan.
On
seeing the raiding party, they tried to run away from the spot but both were
apprehended by the team. On verification, the motorcycle was found to be stolen
from the area of PS Begumpur.
INTERROGATION: -
During interrogation, accused persons disclosed that they are active members of
Kala Bhadana gang. Accused Vikash is wanted in 9 cases of robbery. Accused
Ravinder @ Ravi is also an active member of the gang. Accused Vikas previously
been involved in 2 cases of PS Aman Vihar and PS Crime Branch, Delhi. The

PROFILE: -
1. Ravi @ Ganja @ Happy
has studied upto 12th standard. He belongs to a poor family.
Initially, he started his private work but later on he fell in bad company and
indulged in criminal activities. Previously, he was arrested in a case of
cheating, he came in contact with a robber namely Shane Alam when he was in
Tihar Jail. Later, he joined the gang of Pardeep @ Golu.
2. Hari Mohan has studied
upto 5th standard. He belongs to a very poor family, therefore,
he could not continue his studies and for want of money he fell in bad company
and started committing petty crimes. Later, he came in contact with notorious
robbers namely Afsar and Rais and indulged in committing robberies.
