3 ACTIVE AUTO LIFTERS, SNATCHERS OF MOHIT UPADHAYAY GANG & RECEIVER OF STOLEN VEHICLES ARRESTED

With the arrest of three criminals, a team of AATS/ East District busted a gang of auto lifters, snatchers & receiver of stolen vehicles and worked out 31 cases. 12 M/cycles, 2 Scooty and one number plate of other stolen motorcycle were recovered from their possession.The arrested criminals are:

 1)  Mohd. Akram S/o Khawaja Vakil Ahmad R/o L-280, Gali No.10, Gautam      Vihar, 3^rd Pusta, Usmanpur, Delhi .

(2)  Noor Mohammed S/o Mukhtiar R/o S-23/11A, Gali No. 30, Jai Prakash Nagar, 5^th Pusta, Usmanpur, Delhi.

(3)   Rohit Gupta S/o Ram Avtar Gupta R/o L-16/2, Gali No.2, Jai Prakash Nagar, Usmanpur, Delhi.

TEAM & INCIDENT: - 

 On 17.07.2016, secret information regarding a gang of auto lifters/snatchers was received at AATS/East. On this information  team of AATS/East district comprising of SI Rajender Kumar, SI Sanjeev Kumar, SI Dheeraj Singh, ASI Ominder, ASI Ragender, HC Sukhbir No. 5002/DAP, HC Dharmender No.501/E, HC Rajeev No. 599/E, HC Ram Charan No 581/E,  HC Anil No. 504/E, Ct. Ram Gopal No 2481/E, Ct. Mahak Singh No 2718/E, Ct Jitender No.1812/E, Ct Anil Kumar No 1207/E, Ct. Raj Kumar No. 2545/E, Ct. Ravinder No. 1730/E and Ct. Tej Pratap Singh No. 2955/E under the leadership of Inspector Dhramendra Pal Singh and close supervision of ACP/Operations  Sh. Y.K Tyagi was constituted.

A trap was laid down near Maharishi Balmiki Road, opposite Kalka Mandir, Farsh Bazar Delhi. Two boys on a motor cycle were stopped by the AATS team. They both tried to escape from the spot but they were overpowered by the team members. On enquiries, it was revealed that the motor cycle on which they had come, was stolen from Jagatpuri, Delhi. On enquiries, they identified as  Mohd. Akram S/o Khawaja Vakil Ahmad R/o L-280, Gali No.10, Gautam Vihar, 3^rd Pusta, Usmanpur, Delhi, Age-22 Yrs and Noor Mohammed S/o Mukhtiar R/o S-23/11A, Gali No. 30, Jai Prakash Nagar, 5^th Pusta, Usmanpur, Delhi, Age-20 Yrs.

On further enquiries, Mohd. Akram told that he used to give stolen motorcycles to one Rohit Gupta S/o Ram Avtar Gupta R/o L-16/2, Gali No.2, Jai Prakash Nagar, Usmanpur, Delhi, Age-21 Yrs. He was was apprehended and from his possession, four stolen motorcycles were recovered. The master mind Mohit Upadhayay & three gang members of this gang had also been arrested on 22 April 2016.

On the instance of arrested accused, 12 Motor Cycles, 2 Scooty and one number plate of stolen vehicle were recovered. From their arrest, 31 cases of auto theft and snatching were worked out. Details of the recovered vehicles/worked out cases are as under.

MODUS-OPERANDI: 

The accused persons used to unlock the motorcycles with the help of master keys. Five master keys have been recovered from their possession. After stealing the motorcycles, they used to use ths same in the incidents of snatching particularly in the areas of East and North East Districts of Delhi.
