Gang of interstate robbers cum burglars busted : 4 accused arrested

With the arrest of four accused namely Jitender @ Jeetu, age 22 years S/o Ram Sharan R/o 31/486, Trilok Puri, Delhi, Danish Khan, age 23 years S/o Saidul Hasan Khan R/o 32/421, Trilok Puri, Akash, age 20 years S/o Vinod Kumar R/o 10/A-93, Trilok Puri, Delhi and Chander Prakash Pandey @ Sonu, age 21 years S/o Sarabjeet Pandey, R/o 33/500, Trilok Puri, New Delhi, a team of Special Staff, South District has busted an interstate gang of burglar/robbers.  With their arrest, 1 country made pistol, 5 live cartridges, 2 cars (make Honda City), 1 motor cycle (make Apache) recovered and 5 cases of robbery, burglary, M. V. theft and Arms Act solved.

Brief facts :

          In view of spurt in the incidents of robbery and burglaries, Special Staff, South District was assigned the task to deploy sources to get clues about the criminals involved in crime and arrest them.      

          A team of Special Staff consisting of SIs Jeet Singh, Gyanender Singh, ASI Vijay Kumar, HCs Vir Singh, Ashok Kumar, Vinay Kumar, Ravinder, Joginder and Manoj, Consts Sonu, Naresh, Pyar Singh and Yogesh led by Inspr. Hira Lal was formed.  The police team worked relentlessly and continued its efforts which revealed that a gang of few youngsters based in Trilok Puri, Delhi are committing robbery and burglary and used to carry firearms and house breaking instruments with them.  The information was further developed and a specific input was received that gang members would pass through the area of Defence Colony, riding on a motor cycle (make TVS Apache) and in a Honda City Car.  The police team swung into action and a trap was laid at Sirifort Road near Gargi College on 02.07.16.  At around 10:25 PM, the police team with the help of barricades intercepted one motor cycle and Honda City car.  The 4 occupants of vehicles were overpowered who were identified as Jitender @ Jeetu S/o Ram Sharan R/o 31/486, Trilok Puri, Delhi, Danish Khan S/o Saidul Hasan Khan R/o 32/421, Trilok Puri, Delhi, Akash S/o Vinod Kumar R/o 10/A-93, Trilok Puri, Delhi and Chander Prakash Pandey @ Sonu S/o Sarabjeet Pandey, R/o 33/500, Trilok Puri, Delhi.  On cursory search, 1 country made pistol and 5 live cartridges were recovered from their possession. On verification, the motor cycle (TVS Apache) was found to be stolen vide case FIR No. E-18588/16, dated 25/06/16 U/s 379 IPC from PS Mayur Vihar area and the Honda City Car was found to be stolen vide case FIR No. 930/16, dated 23/6/16, U/s 380 IPC from the area of PS Sector-20, Noida, UP. 

Interrogation :

          During interrogation, 3 house breaking instruments and one Honda City car was recovered at the instance of accused persons.  During interrogation, accused persons disclosed that they used to commit crime from evening to till late at night in South Delhi. They used to ride on stolen bike and car and target the person at isolated stretch while driving the vehicle alone.  They also commit burglary and target the locked house in posh colonies of Delhi & NCR and always carry firearm with them to use in case of any resistance from the target or public. The members of the gang are addict to drugs and under its influence they had committed a series of crime in the recent past. 

          During interrogation, it was revealed that Danish, Chander Prakash Pandey @ Sonu, Monu, Nafis and Intezar are senior gang members who procure them all logistics including drugs, arms and ammunition and also accompany them during crime.  The gang is known as "Danish and Monu Gang" and consist of around 8/9 members.  Monu, Nafis and Intezar are still absconding and efforts are being made to arrest them.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money.
