MOST WANTED GANGSTER NAMELY GYANENDER @ GADGU REWARDEE OF RS.1 LAC ALONGWITH HIS ASSOCIATE RAJIV DAHIYA @ RAJU ARRESTED
Crime Branch has arrested two dreaded and desperate criminals namely (1) Gyanender
@ Gadgu (29 yrs) s/o Mahender r/o
Village Mandhothi, Distt. Jhajjar, Haryana,
who is wanted in two sensational cases of murder of Haryana including one that
of a brutal massacre, one case of attempt to murder of Badli, Delhi and 3 cases
of extortion in Delhi & Haryana and (2) Rajeev Dahiya @ Raju (39
yrs) s/o Sukhbir Singh r/o R-95, Gali
No.15 A, Sawtanter Nagar, Narela, Delhi (permanent address-Village Nahari, Distt. Sonepat,
Haryana), who is an absent BC of PS Narela, a bail jumper, a declared
proclaimed offender in 2 murder cases and one case of Arms Act. At the time of apprehension, both the accused fired on police personnel, however, they
were finally overpowered. Accordingly, case FIR No.87/16 u/s 186/353/307/34 IPC
& 25/27 Arms Act, PS Crime Branch, Delhi was got registered and
investigation of the case was taken up.
INFORMATION, TEAM AND OPERATION: -
For apprehension of parole
jumpers, bail jumpers, extortionists, wanted and rewarded criminals of
sensational & heinous cases, a team of officers of Special Team led by ACP
Jitender Singh, comprising of Inspr. Puran Pant, SIs Ajit Singh, Sanjay Kumar, ASIs
Surender, Shayam Lal, Bahadur Sharma, HCs Satish, Narender, Bijender, Virender Kumar,
Anil, Cts Sonu, Anil, Parminder, Sohan, Anand and Rajiv Raghav was constituted
under the close supervision of DCP Rajeev Sharma to make all possible efforts
to establish their hideouts and to apprehend them.
The team so constituted,
while working on such desperate criminals, collected information through all
possible sources and started tracking the dreaded Gyanender @ Gadgu Mandhothia,
wanted in a number of cases of sensational murders, attempt to murder and
extortion reported in Delhi & Haryana (a reward of Rs. 1 lac also declared on
his arrest by Haryana police) and one Rajeev Dahiya @ Raju, a bail jumper in
murder cases of Delhi. It was learnt through sources that dreaded Gyanender @
Gadgu Mandhothia, one of the most wanted criminal of Haryana, one time second
in command of notorious Kartar Mandhothia gang had joined hands with Rajeev
Dahiya @ Raju to make a fool proof plan of massacre to eliminate their family
rival Raju @ Dandu. For their apprehension, number of suspected hideouts in
Delhi, UP West, Rajasthan and Haryana were raided and on some of the occasions,
they managed to escape and evade arrest.
On 04.06.16, a specific
information was received by HC Satish that Gyanender @ Gadgu, alongwith one of
his associates, will pass through Bawana canal, Khera Khurd Village, Delhi in a
white Verna car. On this information, the team immediately swung into action
and reached near the place of information and laid a trap. A team in a private vehicle
was stationed in alert position towards Khera Khurd Village to keep an eye for
the Verna car and to signal promptly while a team in another car was stationed
with barricades towards sector-27, Rohini, Delhi to swiftly block the way to
the bridge. On receipt of signal, the way to bridge was blocked by barricades and
driver of Verna car No. HR-10W-1998, plying on high speed applied sudden breaks
and tried to reverse the car but their way was blocked by car of the signaling
party.
Sensing that they were now surrounded, the driver (later
identified as Gyanender @ Gadgu) as well as his accomplice (later identified as
Rajeev Dahiya @ Raju) sitting on front seat of the car, promptly got down from
the car. Gyanender @ Gadgu fired on HC Satish, who narrowly escaped but without
caring for his life and activity bravely overpowered Gyanender @ Gadgu.
Meanwhile, Rajeev Dahiya @ Raju fired on Ct Sonu, who also
narrowly escaped unhurt and without caring for his life, bravely over powered
Rajeev Dahiya @ Raju. Illegal sophisticated weapons 9 mm Taurus automatic
pistol, 455 bore pistol of US Army, one sophisticated country made carbine 30 with two magazines
& detachable extendable butt & 66 live cartridges of different bore
were recovered from them.
During sustained
interrogation, Gyanender @ Gadgu disclosed that he is an active member of the
dreaded gang of Kartar Singh r/o Mandhoti, Haryana. There is a long standing
gang war between Sunda Pehlwan/Himmat and Kartar gangs since 1993 in which more
than a dozen persons have been killed so far. The gang is engaged in fight for
supremacy in the Delhi/NCR area.
To begin with, in 1992,
Sunda/Himmat group killed Taj Pehlwan of Kartar group during elections for panchayat.
When the main accussed were in jail, Kala Asodhiya of Himmat gang killed
another two members of Kartar Mandothi group.
After several murders, a
compromise took place in 2009 between Kartar and Himmat groups as all cases had
ended in acquittal because of hostile witnesses (due to fear factor).
But this truce was broken in
2011 when Himmat group attacked Gyanender @ Gadgu, etc. Kartar group shooters
again became active and 4 members of Himmat group were killed in Bahadurgarh by
Gadgu etc. They also eliminated gang leader Himmat after some time. Since then Gadgu
went underground and evaded arrest from Haryana Police. He took great pains to
conceal his position. He was extremely cautions of intercity with anyone.
Now he was planning to kill
Dandu @ Raju who is the current kingpin of Himmat/Sunda gang.
