Domestic help along with his accomplice arrested for committing murder of his previous employer and robbing of cash & jewellery worth Rupees more than one crore
With
the arrest of (1) Anil Kumar Sharma aged 22 years s/o Mahesh Thakur r/o Village
& PS Kulda, Distt. Chatra, Jharkhand and (2) Krishna aged 28 years s/o
Shankar r/o Village & PS Kulda, Distt. Chatra, Jharkhand, the staff of
Police Station Kalkaji, South-East District, Delhi has solved a sensational case
of murder-cum-robbery within 24 hours of the incident in which an old lady aged
around 70 years, resident of E-22, Kalkaji was murdered and her house was
ransacked.
INCIDENT
One Smt. Harmeet Kaur w/o Late Sh. Harjeet Singh resided
along with her son Mr. Mandeep Singh and his family at E-22, 2nd Floor,
Kalkaji, Delhi. On 11.07.16, her son and
other family members left the house for their jobs by 11.00 AM and she was
alone in the house along with her domestic help. At
around 6.17 PM, the domestic help called the wife of Mandeep that her mother was
not responding the door bell. His wife immediately reached back home and found
that Smt. Harmeet Kuar was lying on the floor in the lobby area and was in
unresponsive state. The house was found ransacked and cash Rs.2.30 lacs and
gold and diamond jewellery worth rupees more than 20 lacs were found stolen.
She was taken to Max Hospital where the doctor declared her brought dead. Subsequently,
a case vide FIR No. 403/16 dated 11.07.16 u/s 392/302 IPC was registered at PS
Kalkaji and investigation was taken up.
INVESTIGATION
In view of the nature of gravity of the offence, a team led
by Inspr. Ramesh Kumar SHO/Kalkaji comprising of Inspr. Narsi Lal Meena, Inspr. Krishna Kumar, SI Pawan Kumar, SI Rajender
Dagar, HC Vinesh Kumar, HC Dharmender Kumar, Ct. Krishan Kumar, Ct. Pawan
Kumar, Ct. Anil, Ct. Satish Solanki was constituted under the supervision of
Sh. Jasbir Singh, ACP/Kalkaji.
During investigation, all family members including domestic
help was examined and several persons of nearby areas were interrogated. The footage of CCTVs installed in nearby area
was also collected and analyzed. During analysis of footage, one of the
previous domestic helps namely Anil Kumar Sharma who had worked in the house of
the deceased lady and left the job around six month back, was seen roaming
there. It raised needle of suspicion upon him for commission of crime.
The information of domestic help Anil Kumar Sharma was
obtained from the family members of deceased. Further, technical surveillance
was mounted from which it was revealed that he had left Delhi and moving
towards Jaipur, Rajasthan. Subsequently, several raids were conducted at Delhi
and Jaipur and finally, he was apprehended along with his associate namely
Krishna from a under construction building at Civil Lines, Jaipur,
Rajasthan.
INTERROGATION
AND PROFILE OF ACCUSED
Both the accused were subjected to sustained interrogation
during which, it was revealed that they were from poor family and hailing from
the same Village Kulda, Jharkhand. Accused Anil Kumar Sharma disclosed that he
is TB patient and he was in need of urgent money for the marriage of his sister
aged 19 years old. So, he along with his friend Krishna who resided in the same
village, hatched a plan for robbing the house of his previous employer. They also conducted recce of the house for
3-4 days before committing the crime. On
the afternoon of 11.07.16, Krishna entered the house of deceased on the pretext
of courier boy and thereafter, Anil Kumar also entered the house. Then, both of
them murdered her by smothering and ransacked the house for cash and jewellery
and escaped.
After the incident, they left Delhi and went to Jaipur
where one of the relatives of accused Anil Kumar Sharma was residing but both
of them were arrested due to alert police team.
RECOVERY
Gold & Diamond Jewellery worth more than Rs.1
Crore, cash Rs.1.30 lacs and 10 wrist watches were recovered from the
possession of above accused persons.
