JAN SAMPARK SABHA HELD IN NORTH-WEST DISTRICT BY JT.CP NORTHEN RANGE
North-West District, police organized
a JAN SAMPARK SABHA for residents of North-West Distt. under chairmanship of
Jt. Commissioner of Police, Northern Range Sh. Sanjay Singh, IPS at auditorium
of Keshav Mahavidhyalya, Pitampura, on 30.6.16. The objective of the JAN
SAMPARK SABHA was to interact with representative of RWA’s, market associations
and respectable citizens of the areas to know their police related problems and
suggestion to improve policing. During interaction participants openly shared
their problems and put forward suggestion as well. Some of the local issues
like unauthorized parking, encroachment and street crime snatching etc. were
also raised by the residents.
Jt. Commissioner of Police, Northern Range
underlined the measures like Himmat APP, Bharosa Operation, Shistachar
Operation and Nirbheek Operation taken by the police for the safety and
security of women and vulnerable section of the society. Jt. CP/NR also
appreciated the initiatives taken by the RWA of Mukharjee Nagar for connecting
people through a whatsapp group i.e “Chowkidar” in order to strengthen security
of their neighborhood. He commended efforts of one resident Smt. Neha who
formed a group of women around 400 for the safety of women in the area of
Saraswati Vihar. Jt. CP/NR assured the resident that Delhi Police would work
with zeal and passion to come up to the expectations of people and will try to
address the raised issues to full extent.
A power point presentation was also
shown to participants on the security and surveillance equipments like GPS
Local tracker, anti theft GPS vehicle tracker and CCTV to make the citizen
aware about the effectiveness of these equipments for over all safety and
security including safety of vehicle.
Jt. Commissioner also presented cash
reward of Rs. 20000/- to Shri Sakir Hussain and Ms Rakhi for exhibiting exemplary
courage and presence of mind resulted in nabbing of criminals. In future, the
RWAs would also be honoured for their cooperation in strengthening the security
of their neighborhood. Such meeting ensures the cooperation between police and
public more number of people would come forward to help with the police for
securing safety and security of the citizen.

and SHOs of North-West District were also present during the Jan Sampark Sabha.
Around 600 representatives of different RWAs, Market Associations of North-West
District were present on this occasion.
People overwhelmingly appreciated the efforts and initiative of
police.
