FOUR NOTORIOUS SNATCHERS/ROBBERS ARRESTED AND ONE JUVELINE APPREHANDED

With the arrest of four snatchers, East District Police solved a dozen cases of snatching. The arrested accused are:-

1.   Deepak Aggarwal S/o Ramesh Chander R/O H No-430, Gali No-9, Shahid Bhagat Singh Colony, Karawal Nagar, Delhi,

2.   Deepak @ Keshav S/O Chanderpal R/O H.No.- 70, Gali No. 13, Shastri Nagar, Delhi,

3.   Vikas Jain S/O Sunil Jain R/O H No-C-481, Gali No-23/24, Bhajanpura, Delhi

4.   Sandeep Aggarwal S/O Ramesh Chander R/O H No-430, Gali No-9, Shahid Bhagat Singh Colony, Karawal Nagar, Delhi

INFORMATION & TEAM:-

                To check instances of snatchings and robberies in the area, a team was constituted under Insp. Tanvir Ashraf SHO/Shakarpur comprising of beat officers of PS Shakarpur with overall supervision of Shri Sanjeev Gupta,ACP Preet Vihar. The team collectively started to collect the manual and technical information & surveillance to track down the activities of the snatchers/robbers. The team also collected CCTV footages of the incidents, with a view to identify the snatchers/robbers. Random beat patrolling/checking in plain clothes and persons was also started in the area of PS Shakarpur.

On 16/07/2016, the team was performing the picket duty with at Pusta road under fly over opposite SDM Office. Suddenly two boys on an apache motor cycle came towards the picket and turned back. On this the team members stopped them. On formal search, a country made pistol (Deshi katta) were  recovered from the possession of rider who was later identified as Deepak Aggarwal S/o Ramesh Chander R/O H No-430, Gali No-9, Shahid Bhagat Singh Colony, Karawal Nagar, Delhi and Deepak @ Keshav S/O Chanderpal R/O H.No.- 70, Gali No. 13. Three robbed mobiles phones were recovered from their possession. A case FIR No. 688/2016 dt. 16/07/2016 u/s 25 Arms Act 1959 PS Shakrpur has registered against them in respect of this incident.

INTERROGATION & MODUS OPERANDI:-

          During interrogation, they both disclosed their involvement in many cases of snatchings/robberies.  On their instance one receiver of the stolen property namely Vikas Jain S/O Sunil Jain R/O H No-C-481, Gali No-23/24, Bhajanpura, Delhi was arrested. 18 mobile phones of robberies/ snatching have been recovered from his possession. One more accused Sandeep Aggarwal S/O Ramesh Chander R/O H No-430, Gali No-9, Shahid Bhagat Singh Colony, Karawal Nagar, Delhi was also arrested & one juvenile has also been apprehended.

RECOVERIES:-

1.   One country made pistol with live cartage.

2.   21 mobiles phones

3.   Two Motor cycles which were being used for committing snatching/robberies.

1.   Accused Deepak Aggarwal S/o Ramesh Chander R/O H No-430, Gali No-9, Shahid Bhagat Singh Colony, Karawal Nagar, Delhi is previously involved in 8 cases of snatchings/robberies.

2.   Accused Deepak @ Keshav S/O Chanderpal R/O H.No.- 70, Gali No. 13, Shastri Nagar, Delhi is previously involved in 4 cases of hurt including attempt to murder .

3.   Accused Vikas Jain S/O Sunil Jain R/O H No-C-481, Gali No-23/24, Bhajanpura, Delhi.

4.   Accused Sandeep Aggarwal S/O Ramesh Chander R/O H No-430, Gali No-9, Shahid Bhagat Singh Colony, Karawal Nagar, Delhiis previously involved in 3 cases of snatching/auto lifting.
