Statement by Sr. B.J.P. Leader, Delhi State, Vice Chairman, NDMC and Former MLA Shri Karan Singh Tanwar

Today Senior B.J.P. Leader, Delhi State, Vice Chairman, NDMC and Former MLA Shri Karan Singh Tanwar, through this publication attracted attention of Shri Arwind Kejriwal, Chief Minister of Delhi towards his anti fogging campaign in every street / every locality in Delhi, on war level, to curb the menace / spread of Malaria, Chikungunia and dengue, stating that the contents of pesticides are inappropriate in this spray / fogging mixture, which is adversely affecting the health of people. The mosquitoes nuisance is not being controlled completely on the contrary people are facing great difficulty in breathing and the life of asthmatic patients has endangered.

Shri Tanwar further stated that wide campaign is being made by his Government by pasting stickers ‘spot the kachra’ stating that the entire cleaning and sweeping aspect is the sole responsibility of MCD /  BJP. They are maligning the image and defaming  Bhartiya Janta Party with this fake publicity campaign and thus only trying to befool the residents of Delhi. This is not only breach of trust but they are playing dirty politics with the residents of Delhi. Taking cognizance of people dying in Delhi consequent upon spread of this epidemic, while undergoing throat surgery in Bengaluru, Shri Kejriwal commented that political parties should rise above from dirty politics and should fight together against this deadly disease only then we can get rid of this mosquitoes menace. The Kejriwal government is merely getting rid of his prime responsibility by sticking stickers only and thus directly or indirectly holding MCD wholly responsible for this spread, is really playing a very cheap and dirty politics. Had there been a little bit intention of his government to curb this nuisance then he would taken up a joint venture comprising of MCD and NDMC  Officers team to uproot and eradicate this deadly disease.

Shri Tanwar accusing Shri Kejriwal Government stated that while Shri Kejriwal was undergoing surgery at Bengaluru, his Ministers and MLAs proceeded on national and international tours. Mr. Satender Jain, Health Minister of Aam Aadmi Party was the only Minister available in Delhi, who was trying to befool the residents of Delhi with his false and misleading statements. It would have been better that instead this, he should have taken immediate remedial steps to eradicate this deadly disease, 40 people would not have succumbed to the illness and the disease would not have converted into epidemic.

Shri Tanwar stated that Kejriwal Government is indulged in corruption of crores of rupees in the name of Mohalla Sabha campaign. The so called Mohalla Sabha is involved in scam of crores of rupees and has become a den of corruption, hiding its flaws and trying to befool the common man. For instance neither there are sufficient Medical Officers nor stocks of medicines and even appropriate efforts are not being made to curb this epidemic.  105 Mohalla Clinics are made functional in Delhi wef 8th July 1999, by taking the spaces on exorbitant rent from the workers and the relatives of Aam Aadmi Party, on payment of token rent of Rs.20, 000.00 per month thus over ruling the prescribed guide lines of CVC. The market rent as prevalent in the market is not more than Rs.5, 000.00 p.m. for this space.  Like this, they are flourishing on the exchequer of the government which is gross misuse of the contribution of income tax payers. The honesty and transparency of the functioning of the government is at stake.

Thus summoning up, Shri Tanwar cautioned Shri Arwind Kejriwal to be cautious of his nefarious designs,  dirty politics  and anti democratic attitude, failing which Shri  Tanwar will be forced to take stern action by way of mass movement against his government.
