Sharp Shooter Pradeep Rana, a Notorious Gangster Arrested
A team
of Special Cell led by Insp. Attar Singh and supervised by Sh. Sandeep Byala,
ACP/Special Cell/NR has arrested a sharp shooter of notorious Shiva Suri gang
namely Pradeep Rana @ Kala @ Khaoo (age-33 years) s/o Balbir Singh Rana r/o Village
Ghevra, Delhi on 21/05/2015. One English pistol of .32 bore alongwith 04 live
cartridges has been recovered from possession of Pradeep Rana @ Kala @ Khaoo. Case
FIR No. 39/15 dated 21/05/2015 u/s 25
Arms Act PS Special Cell, Delhi has been registered in this regard. Pradeep Rana @ Kala @ Khaoo was in the list of
most wanted criminals by Delhi Police. He is a notorious contract killer and he
was wanted in four criminal cases i.e. three of murder in Delhi and one of Arms
Act in Haryana.
In a sensational broad daylight double murder case in the
area of PS Binda Pur, Delhi, Pradeep Rana alongwith his associates namely Shiva
Suri, Avdhesh @ Gabbar, Nitin Narula @ Appu etc had shot dead two members of
rival gang namely Bijender @ BD and Ghanshyam @ Ashu on 11/03/2015. Members of
this gang had gunned down both in the house of Shiva Suri in Mansaram Park,
Delhi in a planned way, where Shiva Suri had invited the deceased Bijender @ BD
to sort out the matter between both. It is here worth mentioning that Bijender
@ BD and Shiva Suri were close friends and both have many criminal cases
against them. Both were lodged in Central Jail, Delhi where Shiva Suri was
released from jail and he collected huge money by extortion from cable
operators, bookies, satta operators in the area. When Bijender @ BD came out
from jail, he came to know that Shiva Suri had extorted such a huge money by
using his name. Bijender started demanding money from Shiva Suri. Shiva Suri
paid him Rs. 2.5 lacs but demands of Bijender went on increasing as he had
asked Shiva Suri to give him a car. Fed up by these demands Shiva Suri decided
to eliminate him. He hatched a plan in conspiracy with Pradeep Rana, Nitin
Narula and Avdhesh @ Gabbar and killed both the above. More than 20 rounds were
fired on the day of incident. Case FIR No. 354/15 dated 11/03/2015 u/s 302/34
IPC & 25/27 Arms Act, PS Binda Pur, Delhi was registered in this regard.
Shiva Suri and Avdhesh @ Gabbar were arrested by Special Cell on 15/03/2015 and
solved this case. Both the deceased were desperate criminals of the area. Both
were BC of PS Bindapur, Delhi. Bijender @ Bidi is previously involved in 12
criminal cases and Ghanshyam @ Ashu is previously involved in 16 criminal cases
of robbery, dacoity, kidnapping, burglary, extortion, arms act, attempt to
murder etc in various police stations of Delhi.
Pradeep
Rana is also wanted in another sensational murder of notorious bootlegger Puran
Sansi, a resident of Prem Nagar, Delhi. Pradeep Rana alongwith his cousin
Daljeet Rana had shot dead Puran Sansi on 18/11/2014, in a revenge killing to
settle score with him. Puran Sansi was having suspicion that Deepak Rana,
brother of Daljeet Rana was giving information to police about his bootlegging
activities. Deepak Rana is a conductor in DTC. Puran Sansi alongwith his other
associates had kidnapped Deepak Rana when he was returning from duty midnight,
kept him confined in their godown in illicit liquor in Bahadurgarh, Haryana.
They mercilessly beaten Deepak Rana and left him abandoned in a severe injured
condition near Nangloi Railway Station. Case FIR No. 901/14 u/s
365/342/323/506/385/34 IPC, PS Kanjhawala, Delhi was registered in this regard.
Daljeet Rana with the help of Pradeep Rana planned to kill Puran Sansi. Both booby-trapped
Puran Sansi by inviting him to take big consignment of illicit liquor from
them. When Puran Sansi arrived upon his bike, he was shot dead by both. Case
FIR No. 1267/14 dated 18/11/2014, u/s 302/34 IPC, PS Aman Vihar, Delhi was registered in this
regard. Daljeet Rana was arrested by Special Cell and case was solved but
Pradeep was absconding.
Third murder case in which Pradeep Rana had jumped bail
pertains to PS Bawana, Delhi. Pradeep Rana alongwith his three other associates
namely Nitin Narula, Jitender @ Happy and Sandeep had shot dead their own
associate namely Satish in the area of PS Bawana, Delhi on 28/05/2009. Pradeep
Rana alongwith four others including deceased Satish were partner in business
of cable operator in the area of outer Distt in the year 2008. But differences
upon sharing of money with Satish led to his killing by Pradeep Rana and his
associates. Case FIR No. 117/09 dated 28/05/2009 u/s 302/34 IPC , PS Bawana,
Delhi. Case is pending trial but Pradeep Rana absconded and court had issued process
u/s 82 Cr.PC against him.
Pradeep Rana was also arrested in an another case of Arms
Act by Gurgaon Police in the year 2012. Pradeep Rana alongwith his associates
namely Virender and Ashok @ Shoki both r/o Village Maandi, Distt Jhajjar,
Haryana were hiding in Haryana when Pradeep Rana and Ashok @ Shoki were
arrested but Virender escaped. Later on Virender was killed in an encounter by
CIA, Gurgaon in the year 2012. Both Virender and Ashok @ Shoki were having
reward of Rs One lac upon each as both were wanted in four cases of murder in
Haryana in the year 2012.
Sleuths of Special
Cell deployed their sources and developed information about movements of
Pradeep Rana. SI Sandeep Kumar got a tip of about movement of absconding
criminal. Painstaking efforts of SI Sandeep Kumar resulted in arrest of Pradeep
Rana on 21/05/2015 when Pradeep Rana was finally arrested at about 02:30 PM in
the area of PS Kanjhawala, Delhi. One English pistol of 032 bore and four live
cartridges were recovered from his possession at the time of his arrest. Case
FIR No. 39/15, dated 21/05/2015, u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act, PS Special Cell, Delhi
has been registered in this regard.
