Gang of Notorious Criminals Involved in Theft of Laptops, Mobile Phones and Cash from the Cars Arrested

A team of PS R.K. Puram, South District have arrested three accused persons
 namely Deepak @ Nikhil (age 24 years)s/o Lal Bahadur R/o H. No. C-21, Badarpur Market No. 1, New Delhi, Noushad (age 28 years) s/o Maqsood Alam R/o Jhuggi No. B-541, Navjeevan Camp, Govindpuri, Delhi and Babu Mishra (age 22 years) s/o Vimal Mishra r/o Mohalla Roshan Nagar, PS Ravi Nagar, Faridabad, Haryana and recovered 1 stolen TSR, 7 laptops, 7 mobile phones, 2 Gulels and 10 small iron balls and solved 16 cases of theft.

          In order to prevent the incidents of theft of laptops, mobile phones and other valuables from the cars by breaking the windowpanes, several police teams were formed to develop information about the criminals involved in such criminal activities and to arrest them. On receipt of secret information on 05.05.15, a team led by Inspr. Vijaypal Dahiya consisting of SI Vijay Kaushik, ASI Surender Rana, HC Naim, HC Sanjeev, HC Gulab Singh, HC Sukender, Ct. Ajit, Ct Prashant, Ct Manoj and Ct Praveen laid a trap at Africa Avenue, Near Church Road, R K Puram and arrested one person who was identified as Deepak @ Nikhil s/o Lal Bahadur R/o H No C-21, Kumhar Wali Gali, Badarpur Market No 1, New Delhi.  On search of accused, two stolen laptops, two Gulels and small iron balls were recovered from his possession.  


          During interrogation, accused Deepak @ Nikhil disclosed to have stolen both the laptops from the cars along with his associate namely Babu Mishra.  He further disclosed to have committed more than 30-35 incidents of theft along with his associates in different areas such as Uttam Nagar, Punjabi Bagh, Laxmi Nagar, Sarojini Nagar, Mahipalpur, Lajpat Nagar, etc. and disposed the stolen property to one Noushad.


          The modus operandi of the gang is that they used to travel in a stolen TSR.  After identifying a car wherein laptop, bag, mobile phone, etc. is kept, they will park the TSR near the targeted vehicle or at a small distance.  Thereafter, they will break the windowpane of the car with the help of ‘Gulel’ by using small iron balls.  After that they will steal valuables, laptop, mobile phone, etc. from the car and will escape from the spot. 
In order to recover more stolen property and to arrest co-accused, the team conducted raids at the possible hideouts of accused Babu Mishra and arrested him.  On the instance of both the accused persons, one stolen TSR and receiver of stolen Laptops namely Naushad s/o Maqsood Alam, R/o Jhuggi No. B-541, Navjeevan Camp, Govindpuri, New Delhi was also arrested.  At the instance of accused Noushad, considerable recoveries of stolen property were affected.

 Profile of accused persons :

1.   Accused Deepak @ Nikhil (age 24 years) s/o Lal Bahadur R/o H. No. C-21, Badarpur Market No. 1, New Delhi works as Labour.  Earlier, he was arrested in theft cases.  During this period, he came in contact with Babu and started committing theft of laptops and mobile phones from the cars.  He is previously involved in 11 cases of theft and Arms Act in Delhi.
2.   Accused Babu Mishra (age 22 years) s/o Vimal Mishra r/o Mohalla Roshan Nagar, PS Ravi Nagar, Faridabad, Haryana is native of Darbhanga, Bihar. He works as helper in RTV buses.
3.   Accused Noushad (age 28 years) s/o Maqsood Alam R/o Jhuggi No. B-541, Navjeevan Camp, Govindpuri, Delhi runs a mobile / laptop repair shop in Govindpuri, Delhi. On the behest of mobile / laptop repairing shop, he indulged in purchase of stolen laptops / mobile phones on cheaper prices from the accused persons.  He is previously involved in two cases of murder, Arms Act and theft cases in Delhi.

1.       One stolen TSR
2.       7 stolen laptops (make Compaq, Dell, HP and Lenovo)
3.       7 branded stolen mobile phones (make Blackberry, Samsung, etc.) 
4.       2 Gulels
5.       10 small iron balls

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money.
