Notorious Criminal Mukesh Prajapati @ Mukku Arrested
Crime Branch has arrested one notorious
criminal namely Mukesh Prajapati @ Mukku (32 year) s/o Ram Kumar r/o Durga Vihar
Phase-I, Deenpur, Delhi who was convicted for 10 years imprisonment in a case
of carjacking-cum-attempt to murder of PS Chhawla, Delhi. He came out on parole
but jumped parole in a plan to eliminate the members of Manjit Mahal group at
the instance of jailed gangster Naveen Khati.
Information was received
from the office of Jail Superintendent, Tihar Jail that the convict Mukesh was
serving 10 years sentence in jail in case FIR No. 119/09 u/s 392/397/307/34 IPC,
PS Chhawla, Delhi. He was released on parole and was supposed to surrender on
01.03.15 but he didn’t. Accordingly, a team of Inter State Cell led by DCP Bhisham Singh and consisting of ACP KPS
Malhotra, Inspr. P. C. Yadav, SI Sandeep Yadav, HCs Dinesh Kumar, Bijender
Kumar, Dinesh, Suresh, Santraj, Kartar, Narender, Cts Brijesh, Om Parkash,
Satyawan and Ravi was constituted under the supervision of Addl.CP Ashok Chand
to nab him. Efforts of the team bore fruit when specific information was
received on 04.04.15 that Mukesh would come near Shani Mandir on Palam Dabri
Road to see someone. On the basis of information, a trap was laid at Palam Dabri
Road and Mukesh Prajapati @ Mukku was apprehended.
During sustained interrogation, Mukesh Prajapati
@ Mukku revealed that he was born at village Madipur, Delhi. His father was an
employee of DTC. Later, his father shifted to Deenpur area of Delhi. He has studied
up to 12th standard. He had
no job at hand and he fell into the bad company.
He started his criminal activities in
the year 2006, when he and his associates cheated a businessman by selling a
piece of yellow metal claiming it to be a gold brick. A case vide FIR No.
727/06 u/s 420/34 IPC was registered at PS Najafgarh in this regard.
He was again arrested vide case FIR No. 670/06 u/s 25 Arms Act for
possessing illegal arms at PS Punjabi Bagh, Delhi.
In the year 2009, he alongwith his
associates Parveen Rathore, Updesh Chintu, Rohit Kaira and others made attempt
on the life of one Deepak Tyagi, who allegedly had some dispute with Parveen Rathore.
A case vide FIR No. 154/09 u/s 307/452/34 IPC was registered at PS Palam Vihar,
Delhi in this regard.
Thereafter, he came in contact with a gangster
Sonu Kharab. In the year 2009, he alongwith Sonu Kharab, Rohit Kaira, Praveen
Rathore and others looted one businessman of Rs. 25 lac after shooting him in
the area of PS Paschim Vihar. A case vide FIR No. 244/09 u/s 307/395/397/412/ 120-B
IPC was registered at PS Paschim Vihar, Delhi in this regard.
In the same year, he and his associates
robbed a Tavera car in the area of PS Chhawla, Delhi. In the attempt, they also
injured driver of the car and a case FIR No. 119/09 u/s 392/397/307/34 IPC was
registered at PS Chhawla in this regard. In the same year, he and his
associates Sonu Kharab, Parveen Rathore, Rohit Kaira and others were arrested
by a team of Crime Branch when they opened fire at the police team. A case vide
FIR No. 101/09 u/s 186/353/307 IPC & 25 Arms Act was registered at PS Crime
Branch in this regard.
In the year 2011, he alongwith
his associates Rohit Kaira, Surender and others robbed a Swift car from the
area of PS Hari Nagar and a case vide FIR No. 03/11 u/s 392/468/34 IPC was
registered in this regard.
In the year 2013, he was again arrested
for snatching a gold chain vide FIR No. 368/13 u/s 356/379/34 IPC, PS Dwarka
North, Delhi. He was convicted for 10 years rigorous imprisonment in case FIR
No. 119/09 u/s 392/397/307/34 IPC PS Chhawla, Delhi and was serving his
sentence in Tihar jail. In the jail, he came in contact with gangster
Naveen Khati who asked Mukesh Prajapati to go out on parole and to eliminate
his rivals. Naveen Khati promised him a handsome amount for the same. Brother
of Naveen Khati, alongwith three others were killed by one Ravinder Bholu and
others on the New Year night of 2015. Their deadbodies were found in burnt condition
in a car in the area of PS Bahadurgarh, Haryana. Naveen Khati suspected role of
gangster Manjeet Mahal behind this incident. So, he asked Mukesh Prajapati
to kill close aids of Manjeet Mahal and he was paid the advance amount. He reportedly
was also offered to pay Rs.60 lac to Mukesh Prajapati for three killings.
Mukesh Prajapati came out on parole and roped in Rohit, Surender @ Sanju,
Chintu and Babu to execute the plan. They even arranged two sophisticated firearms
for these killings. It was further discovered that the names of those to be
targeted were not disclosed by Naveen Khati and the same were to be
communicated just one day prior to the assault.
