The Sensational Case of Attempt to Murder of a Struggling Model Solved
With the arrest of a desperate criminal Prince Tewatia aged 23 years s/o Shyam Lal r/o G-20/30, 2ND floor, Rohini Sec. 7, Delhi, the joint team of Special Staff, South East Distt. and Police Stations Sunlight Colony and Ambedkar Nagar has solved a sensational attempt to murder case of Police Station Sunlight Colony in which a struggling model was shot fire on the night intervening 17-18/04/15. He was also wanted in three cases of Attempt to murder and Hurt of South-East District and South District. His associate Jeetesh Pandey aged 24 years s/o Nand Ballabh Pandey r/o G-21/326, Rohini Sec. 7, Delhi has also been arrested. One .32 Pistol with one cartridge and a car which was used in the hurt case of PS Ambedkar Nagar have been recovered from their possession.
On 18/04/15, complainant Pardeep Mishra r/o Hari Nagar, Ashram, Delhi reported that his daughter Neha aged 21 years got married with one Prince Tewatia without his knowledge. On 16/04/15, Prince came to his home at about 10 PM and remained with Neha for next two days. On the night intervening 17-18/04/15 after taking dinner, his daughter Neha and her husband Prince went in their room. At about 1.30 AM, Prince knocked the door of his room very loudly. When he woke up, Prince told him that he had shot his daughter Neha and Prince fled away from the spot. When complainant entered Neha’s room, he found that she was lying on her bed unconscious and blood was oozing out. He took his daughter to the hospital in an auto. Subsequently, a case vide FIR No. 252/15 u/s 307 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act was registered at PS Sunlight Colony and investigation was taken up.
Since it was a very sensational case, the local police immediately swung into action. The mobile phone of Prince was found switched off. The local police rushed to the given address of Prince at Dakshin Puri, Delhi from where it was learnt that he is not residing there and also wanted in other heinous cases of Ambedkar Nagar and Malviya Nagar. Subsequently, a joint team led by Inspr. Naresh Kumar I/C Spl. Staff/SED consisting of Inspr. O.P. Lekhwal SHO/Sunlight Colony, SI Lalit Kumar I/C PP Sarai Kale Khan, SI Sandeep Godara, SI A. K. Jha, SI Shailendra, HC Anil Kumar, Ct. Devender, Ct Praveen, Ct Bhojpal, Ct Deepak and Komal was constituted under the supervision of Shri Anil Yadav ACP/NFC.
During investigation, sources were developed and the teams worked with dedication and perseverance. It was learnt that Prince and his friend Jeetesh were wanted in a hurt-cum-firing case of PS Ambedkar Nagar and Prince as well as Jeetesh were seen together on a number of times. Subsequently, with the help of secret information, it was learnt that Prince was living at Rohini Sector 7 with his friend Jeetesh and the registration number of a car Maruti Ritz being used by Jeetesh was also obtained. Further, technical surveillance was also mounted and a raid was conducted at Rohini Sector-7, Delhi. After sincere efforts, both Prince Tewatia and Jeetesh Pandey were apprehended while they were moving towards their house after getting down from the car. One .32 bore pistol with one live cartridge was recovered from the possession of Prince. The car was also taken into possession.
Both the accused persons were subjected to intensive interrogation in which, accused Prince Tewatia revealed that he was born at Village Jalokari, Distt. Aligarh. His parents came to Delhi in his childhood and started living in Dakshin Puri, Delhi. His father was working as a Mali in Govt. offices. He studied up to 12th class in a Govt. School at Dakshin Puri. He started working as a driver. He placed a Van and started picking up the passengers from Virat Cinema to Nehru place. One day, he came to know that his father was slapped by someone. He procured a weapon and murdered that person. Thereafter, he was arrested in the murder case registered vide FIR No. 87/10 u/s 302 IPC of PS Ambedkar Nagar. He remained in the jail for four years and released in 2014. After getting released, he joined bad company. He is too much egoist and short tempered. He wanted to become don. He committed various body offence crimes with fire Arm. His name is known in the criminals as desperate shooter. He always kept pistol with him. He was previously involved in three cases of murder, cheating and quarreling. He revealed that first three attempts to murder had done by him for name and fames among the criminal world.
Accused Jeetesh Pandey disclosed that he was born in Village Nismali, Distt. Almora, Uttaranchal. He alongwith his family came in Delhi in his childhood and started living in Dakshan Puri. He had studied up 10th standard from a Govt. School, Dakshin Puri. He belonged to a poor family, so he left the studies. He joined bad company and started snatching on stolen bikes. He was arrested in 2010 and released on bail but he continued committing crime. He was again arrested in the year 2013 and remained in judicial custody for 22 months. During trial of cases in jail, he came in contact with Prince since Prince was also in jail for murder case. Jeetesh was also wanted in case FIR No. 372/15 U/S 323/341/336/506/34IPC and 25 A.Act P.S. Ambedkar Nagar.
