Spreading Smile Under Operation Milap

On 26.09.2012, missing child Narveer S/o Pancham Singh age about 8 years was admitted in Children Home, Bulandsahar (U.P.).  Narveer disclosed to the Warden of Children Home that his parents were residing somewhere in Delhi but he did not know the exact address in Delhi.  On 26.03.2014, the authorities of Children Home shifted him in Apna Ghar, Mansarover Park, Delhi in the area of North-East District through Child Welfare Committee Dilshad Garden, Delhi.

On the direction of worthy C.P., Delhi, a special drive “Operation Milap” was launched to trace out of missing children in the area of North-East District w.e.f. 1st January 2015 and to put efforts to trace the parents of traced missing children too.   Hd. Const. Pawan Kumar, No. 174/NE and Hd. Const. Gaurav Kumar, No. 170/NE went to the existing Children Homes in the area of this District and obtained the photographs of all abandoned children residing in these homes.  The available photographs of these abandoned children were matched with the photographs and other data available on the Website of ZIP Net.  During this process, the photograph of Missing Narveer was found to be matching with the child reported missing from the area of PS Model Town vide FIR No. 268/2012 dated 10.10.2012 U/s 363 IPC. He was missing since 24.09.2012 from GT Karnal Road, Bus Stand near Juice Shop, Behind Azad Pur Metro Station, Delhi.  In the FIR, mobile No. 8527420890 was found mentioned relating to his parent but it was not in service. Thereafter, the staff went to PS Model Town to collect more information, where it was mentioned that his parents were permanent resident of “Vill. Kehar Pur Khurd” Tehsil & PS Dataganj, District Badayun  (U.P).

The staff talked to SHO/Dataganj and tried to locate the above mentioned address but he denied about the presence of the said village in the area of his police station. The staff again tried to locate the exact address of the missing children Narveer.  One village namely “Dehar Pur Khurd” was found in the jurisdiction of PS Dataganj which was sounding similar. The staff again talked with SHO/Dataganj and narrated the whole episode about the missing children Narveer.  On our request SHO/Dataganj detailed one Const. namely Sunil to locate and inform Mr. Pancham, father of missing child.

Const. Sunil met with the Gram Pardhan from where he collected the information about the missing Narveer and took mobile number of his father and the same was communicated to us.  Mr. Pancham was contacted and called in the Missing Person Cell/NED on 15.04.2015. He correctly identified photograph as of his son Narveer.  Thereafter, Mr. Pancham was taken to CWC, Dilshad Garden where counseling was done with Mr. Pancham and Narveer in the presence of members of CWC.  On identification, the CWC issued an order on 16.04.2015 and handed over Narveer to Mr. Pancham. Thus, a missing child Navneer met with his parents after two and a half years, who are now happy and overwhelmed due to sincere and painstaking efforts of police personals posted at Missing Person Cell of NED.
