One Drug Trafficker Arrested

A team of officers of the Crime Branch led by ACP Ravinder Kumar Tyagi, consisting of Inspr. Vivek Pathak SI Rajnikant, HC Laxman and Const. Sunny under the supervision of DCP M.A. Rizvi has apprehended one drugs trafficker and recovered 200 gm of fine quality heroin. Value of the recovered heroin is Rs. 20 lac (approx.) in the international market.

Information was received on 31.03.2015 by SI Rajnikant that one Mohd. Ibrahim r/o Usmanpur, is indulged in sale/supply of heroin in Delhi/NCR who would come near Bus Stand, Guru Govind Singh University Ring Road, Delhi to deliver a consignment of heroin to someone in forenoon. A trap was laid at the given place and one person namely Mohd. Ibrahim (46 yrs) s/o Mohd. Noor r/o D-Block Vijay Colony, New Usmanpur, Delhi was apprehended. On search, 200 gm of fine quality heroin was recovered from his possession and a case vide FIR No. 48/15 dated 01.04.2015 u/s 21 of NDPS Act has been registered at PS Crime Branch in this regard.

During interrogation, it was revealed that Ibrahim is an illiterate and he has three children. His father used to sell kites in the area of Chitali Kabar, Jama Masjid. He had started garment business from a shop in the area of Chitali Kabar, Jama Masjid. He started accompanying patients to LNJP Hospital and gradually developed acquaintance with the hospital staff. With the passage of time, Ibrahim started using his contacts in LNJP Hospital to facilitate medical aid to patients from Jama Masjid area and Trans-Yamuna area. These patients included some drug traffickers of these localities. Ibrahim also used to provide important information regarding these drug traffickers to police. With the passage of time, Ibrahim too was lured by easy income in drug business and he started supplying heroin to drug paddlers.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money. During the course of interaction,Satheesh Nair had shown his Identity Card to this complainant to convince him that he was an IPS officer presently posted in Jaipur, Rajasthan and was expecting his next posting in Delhi.
