02 Arrested in Kabootaar Bazi by New Delhi District

With the arrest of two accused namely 1. Ravi Singh S/o Sh. Karnail Singh R/o House No. 208, Army Enclave, Phase-1, Dhina, Jalandhar Cantt., Punjab 2. Yash Raj Anand S/o Lt. Sh Darbari Lal  R/o A-891 GD Colony, Mayur Vihar III, New Delhi,  Special Staff, New Delhi District had busted the  organized syndicate of ‘Kabotaar Bazi’, Agent in the present case prepared fake/ forged supportive documents for US visa in lieu of Rs. 10 lac from each passenger.   

On March 19, 2015, Ravi Singh applied for a non-immigrant visa at the United States Embassy in New Delhi.  As part of the visa application process, Ravi Singh submitted a visa application wherein he claimed to work for True Mark Tower and Infrastructure Limited, located at A-891 GD Colony, Mayur Vihar III, New Delhi. In support, Ravi Singh submitted a fake letterhead of company ‘True Mark Tower and Infrastructure Limited’. In an interview with Embassy officials, Ravi Singh stated that he does not work for “True Mark Tower and Infrastructure Limited”. Ravi Singh stated that he was given the “True Mark Tower and Infrastructure Limited” letterhead by an individual named Ravi Singh meet Yash Raj Anand at the New Delhi Railway Station, where Yash Raj Anand gave Ravi Singh the fraudulent document. 

On the basis of the above complaint, a case FIR no. 68/15, dt. 19/3/15, U/s 420/468/471/120B IPC, Police Station Chanakya Puri was registered and accused namely Ravi Singh S/o Sh. Karnail Singh R/o House No. 208, Army Enclave, Phase-1, Dhina, Jalandhar Cantt., Punjab was arrested in the case. 

A Team comprising SI Subash Chand, SI Naveen Dahiya, ASI Bijender, H.C. Rishi,, Ct. Sanjeev  was constituted. The team was headed by Insp. Rajesh Sharma & ACP (Ops) Sh. Surender Sehrawat under close supervision of Sh. Jatin Narwal Addl/DCP/NDD  & overall guidance & monitoring of Sh. Vijay Singh, DCP/New Delhi. During the course of investigation, the fake letterhead (True Mark Tower and Infrastructure Limited) provided by Yash Raj Anand to accused Ravi Singh was also got verified and the same was found forged and fabricated. No such company was found operating at the given address i.e. A-891 GD Colony, Mayur Vihar III, New Delhi. Accused Yash Raj Anand, the main agent who used to send the needy people on forged documents to US was arrested in the present case on 14/4/15, who disclosed that he along-with other co-accused used to prepare fake supporting document & fill the DS-160 form of passengers & also train the passengers for interview. Agent Yash Raj Anand is an advocate by profession, but his eagerness to earn more money in short span of time lead him to the unlawful profession of ‘Kabootarbazi’.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money.
