Snatcher Held with the Assistance of Public

Staff of PS Tilak Marg, New Delhi District arrested 1 snatcher namely Sonu Kumar @ Mahela S/O Devki R/O A-6, Gali No. 2, Jagatpuri, Delhi and recovered snatched purse containing money of the victim lady and the stolen motor cycle used in the crime and worked out the cases of snatching of PS Tilak Marg and MV theft of PS Farsh Bazar.
          On 12/04/2015, a PCR Call vide DD No. 5A regarding apprehending of a thief who snatched a purse from a lady travelling in Auto by Motor cyclists near Pragati Maidan, Gate No. 7, Mathura Road, Delhi. On receipt of this call, SI Ranjeet Singh along with red handedly Const. Yad Ram, No. 571/ND & staff rushed to the spot and caught accused Sonu Kumar @ Mahela S/O Devki R/O A-6, Gali No. 2, Jagat puri, Delhi with the help of the public persons. The snatched purse of the lady Pratibha W/O Dr. Deepak Goni R/O D-127, III rd floor, Lajpat Nagar, Part-I, New Delhi containing money and the motor cycle No. DL 13 SN 2267 used in the crime were recovered from the possession of accused. A case vide FIR No. 16/15, dated 12.04.2015, U/S 379/356/411/34 IPC was registered at PS Tilak Marg and investigation taken up.
          During the course of investigation, a team comprising SI Ranjeet Singh, SI Ichha Ram, HC Rakesh Kumar No. 134/ND, Const. Vineet Kumar No. 2586/ND and Const. Yad Ram No. 571/ND was constituted under the close supervision of Inspr. Amar Singh ATO/SHO/Tilak Marg for thorough investigation of the case and interrogation of the accused.  Accused Sonu Kumar @ Mahela S/O Devki R/O A-6, Gali No. 2, Jagatpuri, Delhi age around 24 years was arrested in this case.
          The team members worked hard and geared up their resources to get clue about the criminals involved in such criminal activities. It was found that accused Sonu Kumar @ Mahela S/O Devki R/O A-6, Gali No. 2, Jagatpuri, Delhi along with his associate  Rohit R/O Bhisham Colony near Karkardooma Courts, New Delhi came on motor cycle No. DL 13 SN 2267 for snatching in the area. A purse, i.e. snatched property and the motor cycle No. DL 13 SN 2267 used in the crime were recovered from the accused Sonu Kumar @ Mahela S/O Devki R/O A-6, Gali No. 2, Jagatpuri, Delhi.  This motor cycle has been found stolen from the area of PS Farsh Bazar vide FIR No. 313/15, dated 10.04.2015, U/S 379 IPS, PS Farsh Bazar, East District.

 During interrogation, accused Sonu Kumar @ Mahela S/O Devki R/O A-6, Gali No. 2, Jagatpuri, Delhi disclosed that he along with his associates  used to snatch the valuables and jewellery from the victims at lonely places, roads etc. In the night of 11.04.2015 also he along with his associate Rohit R/O Jhuggi Clusters, Bhisham Colony near Karkardooma Courts, New Delhi came on motor cycle No. DL 13 SN 2267 for snatching and other various crimes on the roads and did recee of area . They planned to commit the offence in the early morning but the attempt failed as he was apprehended with the help of public. Accused Sonu Kumar @ Mahela S/O Devki R/O A-6, Gali No. 2, Jagatpuri, Delhi has previous criminal record and he has also previously been involved in the following cases:-
1.   Case FIR No. 261/2013, U/S 379 IPC, PS Saket
2.   Case FIR No. 456/2013, U/S 356/379 IPC, PS Uttam Nagar
3.   Case FIR No. 178/2013, U/S 25/54/59 Arms Act, PS Mundka
4.   Case FIR No. 105/2013, U/S 356/379/34 IPC, PS Darya Ganj



PROFILE OF THE ACCUSED PERSON:
Accused Sonu Kumar @ Mahela S/O Devki R/O A-6, Gali No. 2, Jagatpuri, Delhi was born in 1986 and studied up to 5th standard at MCD School, Radha Puri, Krishna Nagar, Shahdara, Delhi. His father expired when the accused was aged around 12 years. Accused Sonu Kumar @ Mahela S/O Devki R/O A-6, Gali No. 2, Jagatpuri, Delhi was arrested in Case FIR No. 105/2013, U/S 356/379/34 IPC, PS Darya Ganj and was released recently on bail from Tihar Jail. After releasing on bail, he managed to steal a motor cycle from the area of PS Farsh Bazar, East District to commit these offences.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money. During the course of interaction,Satheesh Nair had shown his Identity Card to this complainant to convince him that he was an IPS officer presently posted in Jaipur, Rajasthan and was expecting his next posting in Delhi.
