The Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee launches its #JaagoYaBhaago campaign

·     The Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee launches its #JaagoYaBhaago campaign by putting a fake crocodile and shark in a pothole on the Outer Ring Road in Munirka to protest against  the potholes on Delhi roads.

·                    Delhi Congress starts its symbolic protest to highlight the potholes on Delhi roads due to the criminal negligence act by the PWD Department of the  Delhi Government in carrying out the desilting operations of the drains before the onset of monsoons.


 
NEW DELHI, August 2---Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee today launched its #JaagoYaBhaago campaign to protest against the potholes on Delhi roads due to the criminal negligence act by the PWD department of the Delhi Government, by putting a fake crocodile and shark in a pothole at Munirka on the Outer Ring Road. A large number of Congress workers, leaders and local residents witnessed the launch of the #JaagoYaBhaago campaign and the symbolic protest by the Congress party to highlight the fact that Delhi roads have become dangerous like crocodiles and sharks, as a huge pothole on the Mehrauli-Mahipalpur road  had claimed the life of a man from Uttam Nagar  on July 30, 2016.
 
It may be recalled that DPCC president Shri Ajay Maken had announced at a press conference at the DPCC office, Rajiv Bhawan yesterday that the  DPCC will launch  #JaagoYaBhaago campaign on WhatsApp No 9891620771 against the Delhi Government and the BJP-ruled MCDs whereby photographs of potholes on roads would be called with the details of the name of the road/gali, name of the Assembly/Ward along with the name of the sender, to pressurize the AAP
Government in Delhi and the BJP-ruled MCDs to immediately fill these potholes for the safety of the people. This campaign will continue till the Delhi roads become pothole-free.
 
Prominent among those who participated in the launch of the #JaagoYaBhaago campaign were chief spokesperson Smt. Sharmistha Mukherjee, senior leader Shri Chattar Singh,  New Delhi District Congress Committee president and Municipal Councillor Shri  Virendra Kasana, Municipal Councillor from Munirka Ward Yogita Rathi, Advocate  Sunil Kumar, ex-Councillor Rakesh Joshi, Mehndi Majid, Abdul Wahid, Leeladhar Bhat, Shanti Swaroop and Dinesh Kumar Advocate.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money. During the course of interaction,Satheesh Nair had shown his Identity Card to this complainant to convince him that he was an IPS officer presently posted in Jaipur, Rajasthan and was expecting his next posting in Delhi.
