Leader of Opposition Shri Vijender Gupta today said that playing the role of  Opposition, BJP will confront the ruling party for its unconstitutional action leading to piquant situation in running the Government. Added to it are the CM’s political ambitions riveting his own and his Ministers attention and energies in other states at the cost of Delhi. BJP will leave no stone unturned in highlighting Government’s failure on different fronts.

Government has taken many unconstitutional and anti- poor measures which need to be raised in the Vidhan Sabha Session for rectification, said Mr. Gupta.  The Government which boasts of increasing the minimum wages of workers, has committed the illegal act of diverting Rs. 1150 crores out of Rs. 1700 crores of Cess Fund contributed by building and other workers since 2002 The fund has been diverted by AAP Government for non permissible heads such as construction of school colleges, aganwari, canteens etc.  The fund can only be used only for the listed 18  welfare schemes for the constructions and other workers.

Leader of Opposition said that BJP will raise number of burning issues under section 89.  It will question Delhi Government its strategy after the recent Delhi High Court judgment.  It would seek detailed account as the how the Government intends to regularize the bills, notifications, orders, circulars etc. regularized in view of the judgment.   It will also raise the issue of non availability of civic amenities in unauthorized colonies.

Mr. Gupta informed that the Opposition has given notices to the Secretary, Delhi Vidhan Sabha on 11 issues of great public importance.  These include pending Delhi Sanitation and Cleanliness Bye Laws 2009, engagement of private lawyers, payment of Rs. 6 crores every month to companies named in Water Scam, non implementation of scheme for cleaning of Yamuna, appointment of PR Firms at hefty fee to improve Delhi Government image and non implementation of Aam Admi Canteen Scheme.
