Statement by Sr. B.J.P. Leader, Delhi State, Vice Chairman, NDMC

Today Sr. B.J.P. Leader, Delhi State, Vice Chairman, NDMC and Former MLA Shri Karan Singh Tanwar  drew the attention of Shri Najeeb Jung, Lt. Governor of Delhi through his strong letter towards the outcry of the residents of civil population of Delhi Cantt. Area on account of daily 6 to 8 hours of electricity cut.

Shri Tanwar told that in this scorching heat and sultry weather the civil population of Delhi Cantt is facing daily 6 to 8 hours electricity cut and due to this their day to day activity is being influenced.  There is no proper schedule and electricity go off at any time.  In the event of electricity cut in the night, the old people, children and women are supposed to pass the whole night on the roads.  The children are compelled to wear un-pressed school uniform.  There is a outcry in the area as if no electricity and then there will be no water.  For the last 15 days the Transformer of Old Nangal Delhi Cantt and Sadar Bazar Delhi Cantt are out of order and the repeatedly complaints to this effect made by the residents to Distribution companies BSES and TPDDL has gone in the deaf ears.

Shri Tanwar hitting out at Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal told that he has moved to Himachal for 10 days for meditation, leaving Delhi unclaimed.  Delhites are pity for Electricity, Water and basic needs.  Local MLA Surinder Singh is missing because of registration of case under section 420 for employment as Teacher on the basis Bogus Degree.  He is afraid of his arrest by Haryana Police and is absconding.  Where should people go and appeal?  The area residents are disappointed.  People have lost faith on the elected representatives and administration and area feeling cheated.  Aam Aadmi Party is completely exposed.  For acquiring the seat of Delhi, Kejriwal had told the Delhites that if he will be in power the people will get uninterrupted 24 hours electricity and the companies will be removed and fined if they are found at fault.  But till today discoms are defying and Aam Aadmi Party government is silent.  Chief Minister and MLA is absconding. They have no guts to fine the Discoms and the  removal of Discoms is very far.

Shri Tanwar further told that it is strange to note that Delhi Government’s Power Minister Shri Satyender Jain grilled the Discoms on the issue of erratic power supply but nothing happened and it seems that there is no power in their scolding or this is mere an eye wash.  If the government is so sincere, the discoms have no courage to over look the government’s direction.

Shri Tanwar told that it is a matter of shame on the part of Aam Aadmi Party’s Delhi Government that from their MLA’s and Ministers are involved and booked in Women Harassment, eve-teasing, bogus degree, corruption and other anti social activities.  Even some of them have been jailed.  This government has made the record of registration of FIR against their MLA’s then how the administration will work under them. It is a matter of thinking.

At last Shri Tanwar urged Delhi’s Lt. Governor Shri Najeeb Jung to get the electricity supply all right within 72 hours otherwise Shri Tanwar alongwith thousands of local residents will demonstrate at the residence of Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal.
