Press Statement by Sr. B.J.P. Leader, Delhi State

Sr. B.J.P. Leader, Delhi State, Vice Chairman, NDMC and Former MLA Shri Karan Singh Tanwar drew the attention of Central Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh towards the day to day interference and dictatorial attitude of the Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal in the NDMC affairs and due to his such act the Corruption has increased manifold.  He is victimising the poor and dalit employees and scaring and intimidating the NDMC Officers for doing the work as per his wishes.

Shri Tanwar told that Chief Minister of Delhi Shri Arvind Kejriwal is adopting black mailing tactics and has created fear in the minds of NDMC Officers.  Shri Arvind Kejriwal while presiding the Council Meeting in October 2015 directed the NDMC Officers not to do any work asked by the Vice Chairman and neither he be heard nor visit his office.  All this is on the record.  He has tightened the nippers of NDMC Officers to do the illegal works and no Officer or Employee has the courage to refuse for wrong doings and wishes.  Arvind Kejriwal has even threatened the NDMC Chairman Shri Naresh Kumar and other Sr. Officers who are on deputation in NDMC with clear cut instructions to act as per his wishes or face the consequences and even shunting out from NDMC.  Due to such an atmosphere no one can even move or work against his will.  

While citing various examples of corruption in NDMC, Mr.
Tanwar said that on the behest and pressure of Kejriwal, NDMC Officers have illegally allotted Three Type-V Flats bearing No.12,13 & 14 at Yashwant Place, Chanakya Puri for the last two years to AAP MLA Delhi Cantt & bogus Commando Surinder Singh.  Flat No. 12 was earlier illegally occupied by Surinder Singh and now recently under the garb of Office the same has been inter pooled from Delhi Govt. PWD Office.  Flat No. 13 has been shown as Guest House of PSOI Club and under this garb the same has been allotted to Surinder Singh for the last two years on the daily rent of Rs.1500/- and now the same has been reduced to Rs.600/- per day whereas the market rent of Type-V Flat is about Rs.60,000/- per month and has also illegally occupied the Flat No. 14 at Yashwant Place.  Not even this he has also illegally occupied one of the premises in Yashwant Place near Bikaner Sweets for Aam Aadmi Party office.  Furthermore a Porta Cabin is under construction from MLA Fund in a park in front of Bikaner Sweets for party office. Shri Arvind Kejriwal has even got an office space illegally allotted in the Employment Exchange Office at Kirby Place, Delhi Cantt to Shri Surinder Singh whereas there is already space crunch due to overcrowding of staff over there.  Shri Kejriwal got allotted an office space under the garb of Members Lounge to Shri Surinder Singh on 3rd floor of Palika Kendra in NDMC which is totally against the provisions of NDMC Act and prevailing Law. No MLA can avail such facilities as the same comes under the ambit of Office of Profit.  A Copy of the amendment bill 2010  of Lok Sabha alongwith Financial Memorandum is enclosed. Refer Financial Memorandum (page 4 of Bill) and whereas on other hand eligible NDMC employees are unable to get the municipal accommodation despite of 30 -30 years of regular service.

Shri Tanwar alleged that it is a matter of fact that from the day one Shri Arvind Kejriwal started presiding NDMC council Meeting he is using all illegal means and pressure tactics to victimize the poor Mustor Roll Employees, stoppage of compassionate employment for 400 families, non-extension of contractual period of Doctors, Teachers, Clerks, Drivers, Mali and Beldars working in NDMC and rather ensuring their removal.  

Shri Tanwar told that Aam Aadmi Party captured the throne with the strength of poor, labourers, vendors Shri Kejriwal is getting the eligible Vendors removed from their legitimate sites by pressurising the NDMC Officers.  Shri Kejriwal has deputed his MLA bogus commando Surinder Singh to remove the eligible vendors who are doing business at their respective sites for the last 30-30 years and place the new vendors after collecting bribe of Rs.2-3 Lakhs through agents appointed by Surinder Singh.  The Sarojini Nagar and Janpath areas have been flooded with illegal vendors and mafia is playing active role.  Surinder Singh is very clever and vicious and as show of he had organised a demonstration in favour of these evicted vendors so that these poor people can be confused and he is not be termed behind all such actions. Surinder Singh was earlier also booked and jailed for illegaly collecting money, terrorising man handling and uttering Jaati Suchak words to staff of Enforcement Department.

Shri Tanwar alleged that Shri Kejriwal is misusing his official position and wasting the public money of crores of rupees for his self advertisement and political gains.  On every Saturday he calls RWA Meeting at NDMC Convention Centre without paying requisite charges of Rs.80,000/- per day and even expenditure towards the refreshment for 300-400 persons is being borne by NDMC, causing unnecessary huge financial burden on NDMC. Shri Tanwar asked that why Kejriwal is defrauding the NDMC?

Shri Tanwar demanded Central Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh to get the mater investigated from C.B.I. or A.C.B and asked for instructions to Officers of NDMC to refrain themselves from acting upon the illegal directions of Shri Arvind Kejriwal.
