2 PERSONS INVOLVED IN DRUG TRAFFICKING ARRESTED

Crime Branch has busted an interstate gang of drug peddlers Daya Shankar Rai (42 yrs) @ Shankar Yadav s/o Lt. Khalifa Rai, r/o Vill: Musheri Ke Tola, PO: Kopa Samhota, Distt. Chhapra, Bihar and Anuj Kumar Upadhayay (30 yrs) s/o Banwari Lal, r/o Vill. Bhim Pur, PO: Manai, PS Akrabad, Distt. Aligarh, UP, and recovered 80 Kg of fine quality ganja.
INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION:-
On 5.07.2016, an information was received by SI Jai Prakash that two persons Daya Shankar Rai @ Shankar Yadav and Anuj Kumar Upadhayay were indulged in supply of ganja in Delhi after procuring from Orissa. The information further entailed that they would pass through ring road to Pragati Maidan near Railway over bridge, New Delhi, with huge consignment of ganja to deliver to someone.
A team of officers of the Crime Branch led by ACP Ranbir Singh Dahiya consisting of Inspr. Vijender Singh, SI Jai Prakash, HCs Om Prakash, Jitender, Cts Sandeep Kumar and Sunil was constituted under the overall supervision of DCP Rajan Bhagat to nab them. A trap was laid at the place of information. After waiting for some time, accused Daya Shankar Rai @ Shankar Yadav and Anuj Kumar Upadhayay were spotted in a car No. DL-1Y-E-6453. The car was driven by Anuj Kumar Upadhayay @ Vinay while Daya Shankar was sitting on the rear seat having 20 Kg Ganja in a plastic bag. On search total 80 kg ganja was recovered from the car. A case vide FIR No 111/16 dated 05.07.2016 U/s 20/25/29 of NDPS Act was got registered at PS Crime Branch.  

PROFILE:-
1.            Daya Shankar Rai @ Shankar Yadav has studied upto 10th standard. He came to Panipat (HR) and started working in a cotton factory and worked there for 5 years. As his earning was not enough to fulfil his family needs, he returned back to his village and came in the contact with a person Bhola @ Mama, who is a ganja supplier. Initially Daya Shankar started supplyingganja in small quantity and for the last one year he used to procure ganja from Orissa in bulk, carried it by truck or car and supplied it in Delhi & NCR.
2.            Anuj Kumar Upadhayay has studied up to 12th standard. He came to Delhi in search of job and worked in ICICI bank as field executive for 2 years. He left this job and started a fresh career as a taxi driver. Daya Shankar Rai used to hire his taxi for supplying ganja. Thereafter, he himself started transporting ganja in his taxi from Orissa to Delhi.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money.
