West District Police and HDFC Bank Launched “Responder Training Programme”

On 18/6/2015 at 4 PM, West District Police with the active collaboration of HDFC Bank have successfully organized a workshop/ sensitization/ educative prograamme on Banking Frauds and Cyber Crime for the police officials. Sh. Shashank Gaur, Vice President and Shri Toshar Dhar, Dy. Vice-President of Risk Intelligence & Control Team of HDFC Bank Ltd. Delhi and Shri O.P. Arora-Retired ACP/Delhi Police, delivered lectures and suitably covered the topic in all respect on the subject cited above. This programmes endeavours to update the skill sets of law enforcement authorities and enhance their ability to tackle economic offences in the banking space. It also covered various aspects of investigation offences in the banking space.
       The programme was inaugurated by the undersigned along with Mr. Toshar Dhar and his team. During this meaningful workshop, various aspects like- (1) Types of frauds related loans and advances offered by financial institutions (2) Types of frauds in credit/debit cards, ATM and Net Banking Cyber Crime (3) Fraud Preventive Measures (4) Case studies and illustrations were adequately covered.
    Apart from DCP/West District, Addl. DCP-(I)/WD, 14 Inspectors, 44 Sub-Inspectors attended it. 

            At the end, the undersigned thanked the HDFC officials and further urged that such meaningful and educative programmes should be kept on to enrich the knowledge and skills of the investigators.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money. During the course of interaction,Satheesh Nair had shown his Identity Card to this complainant to convince him that he was an IPS officer presently posted in Jaipur, Rajasthan and was expecting his next posting in Delhi. MOST WANTED GANGSTER NAMELY GYANENDER @ GADGU REWARDEE OF RS.1 LAC ALONGWITH HIS ASSOCIATE RAJIV DAHIYA @ RAJU ARRESTED

Crime Branch has arrested two dreaded and desperate criminals namely (1) Gyanender @ Gadgu (29 yrs) s/o Mahender r/o Village Mandhothi, Distt. Jhajjar, Haryana, who is wanted in two sensational cases of murder of Haryana including one that of a brutal massacre, one case of attempt to murder of Badli, Delhi and 3 cases of extortion in Delhi & Haryana and (2) Rajeev Dahiya @ Raju (39 yrs) s/o Sukhbir Singh r/o R-95, Gali No. 15 A, Sawtanter Nagar, Narela, Delhi (permanent address-Village Nahari, Distt. Sonepat, Haryana), who is an absent BC of PS Narela, a bail jumper, a declared proclaimed offender in 2 murder cases and one case of Arms Act .
