Jute Bag Making Training for Police Families

A 21- day training course in Jute bag making for the family members of Delhi
Police has been started by Police Families Welfare Society in association with National Jute Board New Delhi, at Police Training School Malviya Nagar, New Delhi this morning. Five special jute sewing machines have been acquired for training purpose.
            Inaugurating the course, the Spl. Commissioner of Police/Administration, Mrs. Vimla Mehra, IPS has stressed the need for greater use of environment- friendly products like Jute bags in canteens and grocery stores.    Appreciating the initiative of the centre in organising this course as well as Hotel management course which started earlier, she said that such efforts would help in supplementing the income of police families. 
While participating in the function, Mr. Krishan Singh, Asstt. Director, National Jute Board New Delhi has promised to extend more cooperation and training assistance in joint-ventures involving manufacture of Jute products.
         Mr. S.K.Singh, acting Dy. Commissioner of Police, In-charge Provisioning & Logistics welcomed the gathering. Mr. Vasudeva Rao, Spl. Commissioner of Police/Welfare & Estate Oversight, Mr. Arvind Deep, Spl. Commissioner of Police/Armed Police and Mr. S.K.Tiwari, Dy. Commissioner of Police/7th Bn. DAP    were present.
                The meeting ended with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Mohan Singh Bais, Asstt. Commissioner of Police/Welfare.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money. During the course of interaction,Satheesh Nair had shown his Identity Card to this complainant to convince him that he was an IPS officer presently posted in Jaipur, Rajasthan and was expecting his next posting in Delhi.
