of extortion plan unraveled. The mobile
phone from which the extortion calls were made to the complainant was recovered
from his possession. Thereafter, the police team immediately rushed and
arrested the mastermind Shivam @ Shibbu r/o Nihal Vihar.
Interrogation of
arrested accused persons revealed that the entire conspiracy was hatched by
complainant’s nephew Shivam @ Shibbu who was assisted by Ajeet. It revealed

and required money for his family. He was working as a labour with Ajeet who
worked as Contractor in shoe factories functional in the area of Tri Nagar,
Delhi.
Accused Shivam felt
highly jealous of his uncle’s progress. Few months back he had seen his uncle
arranging and paying lakhs of rupees for the treatment of his grandfather with
an ease. Thereafter, he hatched the plan to extort money from his uncle. In
order to execute his plan, he roped in Ajeet and guided him to make extortion
calls to his uncle demanding Rs.30 lakh on the first day. Later on, they
started bargaining and lowered their demand to 20 lakh. When complainant
pleaded time for arranging money, they gave him time for one day but in the
meanwhile they were arrested.
