Interstate Gang of Desperate Burglars Busted

With the arrest of seven accused persons
namely (1) Abid @ Langda aged

Village, Delhi; (2) Ali Mohd. aged
29 years s/o Bande Hassan r/o Gali No. 7, Shalimar Colony, Distt. Meerut,
UP; (3) Raj Kumar @ Angrej aged
24 years s/o Banarsi Singh r/o Raju Ka Makan, Kumhar Mohalla, Jasola
Village, Delhi; (4) Deepak aged
22 years s/o Bir Singh r/o H.No. 134, Aali Village, Sarita Vihar, Delhi; (5) Ravi aged 19 years s/o Sukhbir r/o H.No. 724, Aali Village, Harizan
Mohalla, Sarita Vihar, Delhi; (6)
Sumit Kumar @ Billa aged 20 years s/o Suresh
Ram r/o Satpal Ka
Makan, Kumhar Mohalla, Jasola Village, Delhi; and (7) Mohd. Sahjad aged 28 years s/o Mohd. Rafiq r/o Gali No. 7, Shahjahan Colony,
Distt. Meerut, UP, the staff of PS Sarita Vihar, South-East
District has busted a gang of desperate burglars and solved 25 cases of
burglary/theft of PS Sarita Vihar. Cash Rs. 1.02 lacs, Gold & Silver jewellery
worth Rs. 1.25 lacs, Two imported wrist watches, One computer monitor, Three
gas cylinders, One loading rickshaw and One Honda City car have been recovered
from their possession.
On 26.05.215, an incident of burglary had taken
place at Sector-7, Jasola Vihar. Accordingly, SHO/Sarita Vihar alongwith staff
visited the spot and conducted local enquiry about the incident from the
neighbours, shopkeepers and other vendors visiting the area. From the enquiry, suspicious
went upon one kabadi who was disabled from one leg and visited the area
frequently. Some other clues also came to notice which established that the
incident of burglary was also connected with some other burglary incidents of
Sarita Vihar area.
After gathering all informations & clues, different
teams comprising Inspr. V. S. Rana, Inspr. Ram Niwas Bhati, SI Nagender Nagar,
SI Sandeep, SI Sitaram, HC Satish, Ct. Dilshad, Ct. Anil Kumar, Ct. Ravinder and
Ct. Mukesh were formed under the supervision of Inspr. Maninder Singh
SHO/Sarita Vihar and overall supervision of Shri Nidhin Valsan ACP/Sarita Vihar
and deployed at identified places in the area of PS Sarita Vihar to prevent such
incidents.
On 08.06.15, the police party was performing
vehicle checking near Sports Complex, Jasola. At
about 06:00 PM, two boys seated on a loading rickshaw were found coming towards
Pocket-1, Jasola Vihar but on seeing the police staff checking the vehicles, they
tried to flee away leaving the loading rickshaw on the spot. The police staff immediately
swung into action and both persons were apprehended. Two water pumps & one
car battery were loaded in the rickshaw. On questioning, they did not give any
satisfactory reply about possession of these articles. Accordingly, they were
arrested. They were identified as Rajkumar @ Angrej and Sumit Kumar @ Billa
both resident of Kumhar Mohalla, Jasola Village, Delhi.
Both of them were subjected to sustained
interrogation in which they disclosed that they alongwith their accomplices namely
Abid
@ Langda, Ali Mohd., Deepak, Ravi, Mohd Sahjad had committed several burglaries
and thefts in the area of PS Sarita Vihar. Earlier, they used to sell carpets in
the area of Sarita Vihar by using a Honda City car. Meanwhile, they came in
contact with one Abid @ Langda who worked as Kabadi and purchased the stolen
goods from the thieves. Abid advised them to commit theft in the locked flats. All
got allured by his offer and agreed to commit theft. Initially Abid started reccee
in the posh colonies and identified the locked flats. He also followed the
residents to establish their movements. Subsequently, they came there in Honda
City car with house breaking equipments and commit burglary/theft in the
houses. Later, they started reccee the locked flats on the pretext of selling
carpets in their Honda City car and after verifying the movements of inmates of
flat, they commit the burglary/theft.
At
their instance, their accomplices Abid @ Langda, Ali Mohd., Deepak, Ravi and
Mohd. Sahjad were also arrested from different places of Delhi and recovery has been affected on their instance.
On interrogation, accused Abid @ Langda disclosed that he used to ferry in posh
colonies of Jasola and Sarita Vihar during which he identified the target
flats. He also got the gate pass from the RWAs to enter the colonies without
any bar.
The
accused persons used Honda City car to commit burglary/theft so that nobody
could make suspicion upon them. They used to carry knife with them to thwart
any kind of resistance from the residents or neighbours.
Further investigation is in progress and efforts
are being made to nab their remaining accomplices and to affect stolen booty.
