ANOTHER 'NIRBHAYA CASE' IN GUJARAT – BJP LEADERS ACCUSED OF GANG RAPE AND SEX RACKET

SLOGANS OF "BETI BACHAO..” HAVE BECOME HOLLOW –THE      PROTECTOR HAS BECOME EXPLOITER

The BJP, which came into power with the weapon of 'Nirbhaya Case' of 2014 is in dock about the safety of women. During the 2014 elections, BJP gave the slogan, "बहुत हुआ महिलाओं पर वार, अबकी बार.....” Modi Government has completed half its term but women security situation in Gujarat, the home state of PM, Shri Modi, has become so unfortunate that women there need to be saved from the BJP leaders themselves.

Earlier, Shri Arun Jaitley had remarked that, "small incidents like Nirbhaya do often happen which leads to destruction of the the image of country and which lead to revenue losses. Not only this, while talking about 'zero tolerance', Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi had awarded a ministerial birth to a rape accused, Nihal Chand.

Why has the  Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi and BJP, who had given the slogan of 'बेटी बचाओ,बेटी पढाओ' maintained a stoic silence on the issue of 'Naliya BJP Sex Scandal' of Kutch? The slogan of 'बेटी बचाओ' is simply a hollow one and BJP and RSS leaders have become exploiters of women in the country.

The sex scandal of Naliya has unmasked the real 'Chaal, Charitra & Chehra' of BJP. According to the statement made by the victim, firstly she was drugged and then three persons raped her and making video thereof, blackmailing threat to upload the same on the internet. Thereafter, she was molested several times on different occasions, so much so that she tried to committed suicide thrice. Later on, gathering some courage she narrated the facts to her husband and lodged an FIR (copy enclosed as Annexure A1).

She has lodged a formal FIR complaint against BJP leaders, namely Shantilal Solanki, BJP Abdasa President; Corporator from Gandhdham; Shri Govind Parumalani, and Ajit Ramvani as also against local BJP leaders, Vasant Bhanushali, Vinod Thakkar, his son Chetan Thakkar, Ashwin Thakkar and Solanki's friend, Bharat Tailor; Vipul Thakkar, Ketan Thakkar and Baba Chauhan of Naliya; Vasant of Aadipur etc.

When police took them into custody, their friends of accused started threatening the family of victim to withdraw the charge and also tried to lure them with rupees one crore so that they change their mind

On the behalf of 125 crore people of India, Indian National Congress would like the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi to reply to the following five questions:-

1.         This incident of women molestation is not only limited to BJP and RSS workers but it is linked to other top leaders too, which include leaders of Gujarat and also other BJP-ruled States. They are trying their best to threaten, blackmail and even lure the victims family.They are also trying to malign the victim's character.. The past record of Gujarat Government have time and again proved that SIT investigation is a mere lip service to save the real culprits. In this context, it is appropriate to ask as to why this shameful incident is not being investigated by a sitting judge under the supervision of High Court?

2.         Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi makes big speeches about women safety and law and order in his election rallies. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Shri Akhilesh Yadav has asserted that such incidents should be probed by any independent agency then, why is Modiji not ready for investigation of such incidents which took place in Gujarat, Assam and other BJP-ruled States?

3.         It is established from the statements of the victim that there is a grave danger to her family from BJP leaders. Will Modiji take responsibility of the safety and security of the victim and her family?

4.         Why has BJP delayed any action against accused BJP workers and office bearers? Was there an effort to influence the victim and mislead the investigation?

5.         According to report of National Crime Record Bureau, 12 out of the 13 BJP-ruled States lead in the cases of rapes and molestation against women, but Modiji is talking of the women safety in other States. Will the Prime Minister introspect.
