TWO NOTORIOUS SNATCHER ARRESTED

A team of Special Staff, South-East District has arrested two notorious snatchers namely (1) Shahzan aged 19 years s/o Kallu r/o Shastri Park, Usmanpur, Delhi and (2) Usman aged 20 years s/o Gulfam r/o Near Buland Masjid, Shastri Park, Delhi. 10 snatched mobile phones have been recovered from their possession/instance and total 18 cases of snatching with TSR travellers & passersby in different areas of Delhi have been solved.

INFORMATION, TEAM AND OPERATION
On 18.06.16, a secret information was received to HC Harender of Special Staff/SED that one boy namely Shahzan who is involved in several snatching incidents of South-East Delhi and other areas of Delhi, along with his accomplice is about to come at Ameer Khusro Park, Hazrat Nizammuddin, Delhi for selling snatched mobile phones. The information was further developed and a raiding team under the supervision of Inspr. Naresh Kumar comprising of SI Jitender Malik, SI Sandeep Godara, HC Harender, HC Kundan, HC Shekhar, HC Suresh, HC Bhoop, Ct. Vineet, Ct. Rahul was constituted in overall supervision of Sh. Ashok Saroha, ACP/Operations/SED.

At about 8.15 PM, at the instance of secret source, one boy along with seven snatched mobile phones was apprehended at Ameer Khusro Park Hazrat Nizammuddin. His identity was revealed as Shahzan r/o Shashtri Park, Usmanpur, Delhi. On further verification, the recovered mobile phones were found to be snatched from different places of Delhi and cases were found registered in respect of five mobile phones. Further on 20.06.16, co-accused Usman has also been arrested and three more mobile phones have been recovered at his instance which were found snatched from different places of Delhi out of which one case was found registered at PS Sunlight Colony.

INTERROGATION
During interrogation, accused persons disclosed that they had studied up to 10th standard. Though the families of these accused persons are well settled but to fulfill their requirements of money for bad habits like consumption of alcohol, expenditure on girlfriends and foul company of friends, they indulged into the commission of these crimes. They used to commit various snatching offences on black pulsar motorcycle in different areas of Delhi. Father of accused Shahzan is a vending contactor at Metro Station, Delhi while father of accused Usman runs a marble shop at Shastri Park, Usmanpur, Delhi.

Further investigation is in progress to affect more recovery.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money. During the course of interaction,Satheesh Nair had shown his Identity Card to this complainant to convince him that he was an IPS officer presently posted in Jaipur, Rajasthan and was expecting his next posting in Delhi.
