Proceedings in M M Khan Murder Case

There have been reports in the Media that investigation of the case is being influenced to save few persons who are involved in the murder of M.M. Khan, which is totally false as the investigation of the case has been done in a fair and professional manner. All the evidence collected have been thoroughly examined.
On 16.5.2016 at about 7.45 PM, a PCR call regarding firing at D-10, Jamia Nagar at PS Jamia Nagar was received.  On receipt of the call, local police immediately reached the spot and found that a Swift Dezire Car with broken window glasses was parked there and victim had been taken to Holy Family Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.  The deceased was identified as Mohd. Moin Khan, aged 58 years, s/o Mohd. Naeem Khan, r/o D-13, Noor Nagar Extension, Johri Farm, Jamia Nagar having gunshot injury on his chest. Subsequently, a case vide FIR No.440/16, u/s 302 IPC was registered at PS Jamia Nagar.  Mohd. Moin Khan was the Estate Officer of NDMC.  7 accused persons namely Ramesh Kakkar, aged 47 years, Ram Phool, aged 46 years, Israil, aged 31 years, Saleem Khan, aged 29 years, Amir Alvi, aged 24 years, Anwar Omais, aged 21 years and Bilal were arrested.
During the investigation, it was revealed that deceased Moin Khan was taking up matter of Hotel Connaught, Connaught Place, New Delhi.  The owner of Hotel is Ramesh Kakkar.  The hotel was on lease with NDMC. On directions of Hon’ble High Court of Delhi, deceased M.M. Khan had to pass final order in the lease case on 17.5.2016.  Apprehending an unfavourable order on 17.5.2016, which would have resulted in huge monetary loss and eviction from property, Ramesh Kakkar hatched a conspiracy to eliminate M.M. Khan.
The investigation is being done in a professional manner. All the relevant documents related to the file of Hotel Connaught have been seized from the NDMC.  The letters which are being circulated in a section of the Media by one political party have also been seized by the Investigating Agency.
All the papers seized from NDMC have been thoroughly scrutinized and there is no evidence against Shri Mahesh Giri, the Member of Parliament and Shri Kanwar Singh Tanvar, Vice Chairman, NDMC.
Delhi Police is a professional force which works as per the rule of law. The attempt by certain quarters of the society to politicise the murder case of the Govt. employee is totally uncalled for.
