BJP’s central govt has betrayed the Kathputli Colony residents

The protest by residents of Kathputli Colony outside the residence of the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi on Wednesday is completely justified since the BJP’s central government has committed a U-turn on providing justice to them.
Infact, the BJP’s central government is trying to shield a Rs 1,000 crore scam committed by the previous Congress-led UPA’s central government, which also committed the crime of displacing these poor residents.
It is extremely shocking that despite having been in power for more than two years now, the BJP’s central government has made no effort to investigate the former union urban development minister Ajay Maken and concerned DDA officials who had hatched a conspiracy to provide the Kathputli Colony land at a throwaway price of Rs 6.11 crore to Raheja Builders, the market price of which even by most conservative rates is atleast Rs 1,000 crore.
What is even more shocking is that DDA, which had made a project for in-situ redevelopment and rehabilitation of Kathputli Colony, seven years back has made very little progress for rehabilitation of the people living in this basti.  
Since the basti was under rehabilitation, at least on paper, even steps for in-situ improvement have not been taken. As a result the living conditions in the basti have gone from bad to worse. Hundreds of families comprising of infants, elderly people and women are living in conditions which are not fit for human habitation. Open drains overflowing with sewage, electricity wires hanging dangeroulsy low, garbage scattered all around, entire area stinking with the smell of human faeces and municpal solid waste make the colony  virtually a living hell.  
The Aam Aadmi Party demands that effective steps for rehabilitation of this basti be taken up at the earliest.
The AAP demands that the BJP’s central government should immediately issue directions to the DDA to rehabilitate the Kathputli colony JJ basti as per the Policy and the Protocol notified by DUSIB,  which is the Nodal Agency.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money. During the course of interaction,Satheesh Nair had shown his Identity Card to this complainant to convince him that he was an IPS officer presently posted in Jaipur, Rajasthan and was expecting his next posting in Delhi.
