2 FUGITIVES WANTED IN ATTEMPT TO MURDER CASE OF PS TILAK NAGAR ARRESTED

Crime Branch has arrested 2 fugitives Dilbagh Singh (28 yrs) s/o SardarPuran Singh r/o A-148, Chander Vihar, Nilothi Extension, Delhi and Neeraj Malhotra @ Sunny (28 yrs) s/o Narender Kumar r/o RZ-22, Near Hanuman Mandir, Pali Factory Wali Gali, Indira Park Extension, Uttam Nagar, Delhi, who were wanted in an attempt to murder case of PS Tilak Nagar dated 15.02.2016in which they alongwith their associates assaulted on rival gang members of pick-pockets active in West District.
BACKGROUND:-
          There is a rivalry between two gangs of pick-pockets, which are active in West District of Delhi i.e. Jwala gang and Dilgabh-Ginni gang over area of operation and regular altercation took place between these gangs. Subsequently, on 14.02.2016 at about 8:30 pm, accused Dilgabh alongwith his associates Ginni, Vikram, Neeraj Malhotra @ Sunny and others assaulted on rival gang member Kripal Singh and Jwala Singh with baseball bats and knife in the area of PS Tilak Nagar. They also thrashed wife of Kripal and sister of Jwala. Kripal sustained severe knife injuries over his neck in the incident. On this, a case vide FIR No. 207/16 dated 15.02.2016 u/s 307/354/509/34 IPC was registered at PS Tilak Nagar against the accused persons. During investigation, 2 accused Ginni and Vikram were arrested in the case while the accused Dilbagh and Neeraj Malhotra were absconding.


INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION:-
          On 24.06.2016, a secret information was received by ASI Vikrant Singh that two fugitives Sunny and Dilbagh, who are wanted in an attempt to murder case of PS Tilak Nagar, would come at 20 feet Road, Ganda Nala, Shiv Vihar in the evening at about 5/5:30pm to meet their aides. This information was further developed and a team of Crime Branch led by ACP Sanjay Sehrawat, consisting of Insp. Yashpal Singh,SI Kuldeep, ASI Vikrant, HCs Mahesh Tyagi, Ravinder, Randhawa, Satpal,Cts. Rajeev Sahrawat,Badri Prasad, Dharmender, Deepak Gulia, Ravinder and Rahul was constituted under supervision of DCP Bhisham Singh to nab the criminals. The team laid a trap near the expected place of their arrival and both the accused persons were successfully apprehended.
          On interrogation, both the accused persons disclosed their involvement in crime. Subsequently, they were arrested u/s 41.1 Cr.PC. On personal search, one I-phone was recovered from the possession of accused Neeraj Malhotra @ Sunny, which was found to be stolen from Mussoorie, Dehradun area. Subsequently, the same was also taken into police possession.
PROFILE: -
1.            Dilbagh Singh basically belongs to Rajasthan and his family shifted to Tilak Nagar about 20-21 years back in search of livelihood. He studied upto 7th standard and left his studies due to poverty. After that he came in contact with Ginni and other pick-pockets in the locality and started his criminal career. 
2.       Neeraj Malhotra belongs to a lower middle class family who was earlier residing in Tilak Vihar area. He has studied upto 10th standard from School of Open Learning and after that he started working as a driver. His earning wasnot sufficient for his family, so he joined the gang of Ginni-Dilbagh and started pick-pocketing in the area.
