East Distt. Police Plays a Vital Role to Reunite 11 Children to Their Parents

Under Operation “SMILE-II” Scheme a special drive was launched by Anti Human Trafficking Unit, East Distt to link missing/found children with their respective families.  In this process a special team of AHTU/East staff including    Narendra Tyagi Inspector AHTU, SI Ranvir Singh, HC Subash and Ct. Rajpal was constituted under the close supervision of Sh. Shiv Dayal ACP/AHTU.  In this regard several Children Homes in Delhi and Neighbouring states, Railway Stations, Bus Terminus etc were being checked on regular basis with the available data of missing/kidnapped children.

       During the checking of records of various observation homes, it was found that 11 children (10 male and 1 female) were identified/ reunited with their respective parents/family members .    At the time of admission children did not disclose their addresses as they did not know exact location being illiterate.  

          The children were taken into confidence by the team.  After compassionate persuasive conversation again and again the children revealed their identities and some clues. These clues were further developed and team took sincere efforts and visited various place of Delhi, NCR, Uttar Pradesh Bihar and West Bengal and their parents/relatives were contacted, where they identified their respective children.


This team under Anti Human Trafficking Unit, East Distt, has also done a commendable job in the year 2015 by reuniting 51 children to their respective family members.
