Two Incidents of Broad Daylight Attempt to Murder of Delhi and Ghaziabad Worked Out

A team of officers of Crime Branch led by ACP KPS Malhotra and consisting of Insp Arvind Kumar, SIs Gurmeet, Dataram, HCs Hanuman, Ramesh, Cts Rahul, Sushil, Ajay, Manoj, Parminder, Ranbir, Virender and Parveen under the supervision of DCP Bhisham Singh and overall supervision of Addl.CP Ashok Chand have busted a nexus of a businessman and his hired shooters involved in firing upon the two persons namely persons Sanjay Mehta r/o Krishna Nagar and Sandeep Kheda r/o Rampuri, Ghaziabad (UP). Two cases of attempt to murder of Delhi and Ghaziabad have been worked out. Three persons including the businessman Nitin Arora (33 years) s/o Sh. Vinod Kumar Arora r/o Krishna Nagar Delhi along with the hired shooters Dhanesh @ Kallu (26 years) s/o Jasvir Singh r/o village Banthla, Loni, UP and Muninder Chauhan @ Sonu (34 years) s/o Sh. Kishanveer @ Kishanbir r/o Mandoli, Delhi have been arrested in this regard. It was further discovered that the businessman Nitin Arora is also wanted by name in a case of rape registered on 21.03.15 at PS Jagat Puri and he is involved in a case cheating in which he has duped many banks to the tune of Rs. 16 crore, which is pending investigation with CBI.

Facts of the present case are that on 5/10/14, Sh. Sanjay Mehta r/o Krishna Nagar was sitting in his office of Jai Sai Properties in Krishna Nagar. One person came and inquired about the properties available on rent in the area. When he told that he doesn't deal in renting out properties, the person whipped out a pistol and fired upon him. He sustained bullet injury in stomach. On raising alarm, the assailant ran away on a motorcycle waiting for him outside office. A case vide FIR No. 706/14 u/s 307/34 IPC was registered at PS Krishna Nagar in this regard. The incident created panic in the area.

On 30.3.15, information was received about movement of the persons involved in the case and a raid was conducted and the above mentioned Nitin Arora, Dhanesh @ Kallu and Muninder Chauhan @ Sonu were apprehended. On interrogation, Nitin Arora disclosed that he was running his business of garment trading in Gandhi Nagar alongwith his father. Then he started business of real estate with Sanjay Mehta r/o Krishna Nagar and Ashok Arora. They were involved in sale/purchase of the property and also in real estate development. To raise funds, in the year 2010-2011, Nitin Arora got sanctioned total loan of 16 crore on his two properties from State Bank of India, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur and Bank of Maharashtra. In 2013, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur came to know about his fraud of triple finance and the matter was reported to CBI by the bank on which a case was registered in 2013 and same is pending investigation. In June 2014, differences developed between Nitin Arora and Sanjay Mehta on the financial matters and their relationship took an ugly turn.  Nitin Arora was also involved in real estate business of the properties of Ghaziabad. 

Sandeep Kheda r/o Rampuri, Ghaziabad (UP) used to be a cloth merchant by profession in Gandhi Nagar. Nitin used to get prepared forged documents from him. He was well aware of the malpractices deployed by Nitin Arora in the trade. He used to malign the image of Nitin Arora by telling his activities in open market due to which he was suffering losses. Someone sent an email to all banks and CBI, mentioning complete details of frauds of Nitin Arora claiming to be whistleblower, and Nitin suspected that Sandeep Kheda was behind the act of sending these emails too. 

Nitin Arora started suffering huge losses and was spending exorbitantly to maintain his lavish lifestyle. His loan amounts were defaulting regularly. For getting the loan amounts cleared, many bank officials were frequently visiting his office and residence. Nitin Arora employed two bouncers for his home and office. He discussed these issues with his bouncer Babloo and they hatched a criminal conspiracy to intimidate Sandeep Kheda and Sanjay Mehta. He paid the money to Babloo who hired separate set of contract killers.

On 1/09/2014, they fired on Sandeep Kheda’s car in which the driver sustained gunshot injuries owing to the bullets fired by the armed assailants. On this a case FIR No. 324/14 was registered at PS Link Road, Ghaziabad (UP), and the matter is under investigation.

 Later, Nitin Arora decided to threaten Sanjay Mehta and the contract was given through Babloo. Babloo demanded Rs. 20 lac this time while Nitin paid only 2 lac as advance. Babloo roped in Muninder r/o Mandoli who arranged meeting with Dhanesh of UP having several cases against him and criminal background. Muninder and Dhanesh had office of cargo transportation in ICD Loni in same building. On 5/10/14, Dhanesh and Muninder came on a motorcycle and Dhanesh fired on Sanjay Mehta, with the help of pistol provided by Babloo. They both fled away from the scene on the motorcycle. Later, Nitin Arora changed his mind about paying remaining contract money and also removed Babloo as his employee.

Later, when Dhanesh started demanding the remaining contract money and Nitin kept evading his calls, Dhanesh sent an SMS to him for paying the remaining amount, on which Nitin Arora got registered a case of extortion without disclosing the facts against unknown persons.

        Nitin Arora is also alleged in a rape case registered at PS Jagat Puri recently on 21/3/15 on complaint of a Delhi based girl. It has been alleged in the complaint that she was raped in a car and Nitin had also prepared a video to blackmail her. His role is under investigation is a case registered at PS Krishna Nagar in 2014, when he manhandled the bank officials who came to seal his property over non -payment of loan amount.

        On interrogation, Dhanesh disclosed that he had studied upto class 10^th and was first time arrested in 2008 with the notorious bank robber Satte for committing dacoity at Laxmi Jewellers in Loni, UP. Later, after coming from jail, he was again arrested on allegations of firing on police party and on allegations of a carjacking in area of Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, UP. In 2010, he was arrested for a case of attempt to murder during elections of village Pradhan, when he assaulted his rivals. After this case, he was again arrested in two cases of 308 IPC of Loni, when he assaulted the rival party during a quarrel. In the year 2012, he was arrested in a case of kidnapping for ransom related to the son of a Sub Inspector in Loni. He came out in 2013 from jail and then started his business of transport of containers in ICD Loni. Dhanesh was in urgent need of money for Pairvi of his cases, payment of advocate fees and treatment of his mother. When Muninder discussed him with the proposal of Babloo, he agreed and committed the offence. He had now come to discuss the issue of pending amount as Babloo had not given him complete amount of contract money.

Muninder is educated upto class 10^th and has his transport agency at ICD Loni and he was found to be involved in a case of auto-theft of PS Malviya Nagar and Arms Act case of Saket pertaining to the year 2011.
