Extortionist of Bookies Arrested
In a well-planned operation, Crime
Branch has arrested one desperate criminal namely Roshan Gupta @ Khalla (30
yrs.) s/o Mahesh Prasad r/o Tilak Nagar, Delhi, who is indulging in attempt to
murder and Arms Act cases.
A secret information was received by Central Range of
Crime Branch, that a desperate extortionist, wanted/absconder namely Roshan
Gupta @ Khalla, a history sheeter criminal of PS Tilak Nagar, Delhi would come
behind Kesho Pur Depot, Khayala, Delhi in a white Santro car to meet his
associates. Secret informer further confirmed that Roshan Gupta @ Khalla is
involved in many criminal cases of Delhi and if a raid is conducted, he may be
apprehended with illegal arms. Accordingly, a team led by DCP Rajan Bhagat
consisting of ACP Sukhvinder Singh, Inspr. Devender Kumar, SIs Ved Prakash,
Virender, Devender, ASIs Jaswinder, Harbir, HCs Naresh, Sanjay, Virender,
Vikram, Cts Santosh, Vipin, Harender, Shadev, Lalit, Rajesh, Manish and W/Ct
Sarvjeet Kaur was constituted under the supervision of Addl.CP Ashok Chand to
nab him. The police team laid a trap at the given place and apprehended the
accused Roshan Gupta @ Khalla at the instance of the informer when he arrived
there in a Santro car. One improvised pistol with marking “Made in England”
alongwith four live cartridges has been recovered from him. The Santro Car
bearing fake number DL 8CM 6748 was found stolen vide FIR No. 883/14 u/s 379
IPC PS Prashant Vihar, Delhi.
During interrogation, it was revealed that accused
Roshan Gupta @ Khalla was absconding since long. He used to change his address
frequently to evade arrest.
He was involved in trading/supplying illegal
arms to hardened criminals in Delhi/NCR by procuring the same from
Patna/Munger, Bihar. He is a close associate of notorious criminals Arvind and
Mohd. Gouri who played a vital role in escape of accused Amit @ Bhura from
Police/Judicial custody. In this regard, a case is pending investigation with
UP Police at Baghpat.
He used to extort money from
businessmen/bookies and none dared to complaint against him due to fear. He had
assaulted many persons and is wanted in an attempt to murder case reported vide
FIR No. 451/2013 u/s 308/34 IPC, P.S. Binda Pur since 2013. He is also likely
to interrogate in Murder Case FIR No. 354/15 u/s 302 IPC, PS Binda Pur.
Roshan Gupta @ Khalla (30 yrs) s/o
Mahesh Prasad r/o Tilak Nagar, Delhi was born in village Gandbarva Danda,
District Kishan Ganj, Bihar. He came to Delhi at Nangli Zalib, Janak Puri, with
his parents in the year 1990. He has studied upto 11th standard in a
govt. school in Janak Puri, Delhi. He completed his intermediate through
correspondence in 2002. Thereafter, he started selling belts on the road side
at Tilak Nagar, Delhi. Later on, he started working as property dealer with
another property dealer namely Satish Gulati in Rajauri Garden, Delhi till
2008. Then he fell into bad company and started indulging in betting on Cricket
Matches, Playing Cards and Dice etc.
