Training Programme for e-Rickshaw Drivers by Delhi Traffic Police

Today i.e. on 02.03.2015, Delhi Traffic Police started free training programme for E-
rickshaw drivers at Traffic Headquarters, Dev Prakash ShastriMarg, Delhi.  The programme was organized to familiarize the drivers with Traffic Rules and Regulations, safe driving and road safety norms.  In the inaugural address, Sh. Sharad Agarwal, Additional Commissioner of Police, Traffic (Operations) welcomed the participants and enjoined them to be professional and responsible road users. The training included the audio visual presentation on road safety and lectures by the officers with extensive experience in traffic management. Literature, pamphlets about traffic laws and road safety fliers were distributed to the drivers about road safety norms and they were made aware of the latest rules and regulations on driving the Public Service Vehicles. The training programme was attended by 139 E-rickshaw drivers. Sh. R. K. Jha, DCP/Traffic (HQ) also interacted with the drivers.
          
         
The training programme will be held every Monday from 1000 hrs to 1300 hrs at Traffic Headquarters, Dev Prakash Shastri Marg. In this regard, Delhi Traffic Police is associating closely with the Transport Department of the GNCT of Delhi for wider participation of the E-rickshaw drivers. Pamphlets were also given to the participants to distribute these among fellow E-rickshaw drivers to join this training programme.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money.
