Mastermind Of Rajouri Garden Heist of Rs.40 Lac Arrested

Crime Branch has apprehended an absconding desperate criminal namely Lakhvinder@ Lakhbir @ Lakha (33 years) s/o Amrik Singh, r/o Vill- Fahari, District- Alwar, Rajasthan, who was wanted in a case of robbery of Rs.40 lac from Kwality Walls in Rajouri Garden. Cash reward of Rs. One lac was declared on his arrest. He was also declared a Proclaimed Offender.

        On 12.07.2014, some armed persons had intercepted a Ritz car carrying Rs. 40 Lac of Kwality Walls Ltd at Rajouri Garden Delhi. The assailants had fired at the occupants of the car and took away a bag containing cash. While the assailants were fleeing, the victim driver/staff chased them and hit their car from rear side. However, the accused persons abandoned the car on spot and escaped on 4 motorcycles. A case vide FIR No.767/14 dt. 12.07.14 u/s 395/397/307/34 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act was registered at PS Rajouri Garden in this regard. While some members of the gang had already been arrested, the main conspirator and master mind of the crime, Lakhvinder@ Lakha, was evading arrest and he was declared a “Proclaimed Offender” in the case.  A cash reward of Rs. One lac was declared on his arrest.

On 01/03/15, a specific information was received by HC Pramod of South Western Range, Crime Branch that the accused Lakhvinder @ Lakha would come at Dhaula Kuan Bus Stand to board a bus to Rajasthan. A team led by ACP Kailash Chandra, consisting of Inspr. PC Khanduri, SI Naresh Sangwan, HCs Pramod Singh, Virender and Ct Parvindra under the close supervision of DCP Bhisham Singh and overall guidance of Addl.CP Ashok Chand was immediately constituted to arrest him. Acting on the information, a trap was laid and the accused Lakhvinder @ Lakha was successfully nabbed. 

On sustained interrogation, it was revealed that the accused Lakhvinder Singh @ Lakha alongwith his associates had conspired to rob cash of Kwality Walls Ltd. as he had prior information that huge cash from the firm was being deposited in a bank daily. On 12/07/2014, he had tasked one of their associates to inform the other members once the staff moves from Kwality Walls office to the bank for depositing cash. Lakhvinder @ Lakha followed the company staff in his red Chevrolet Beat car and forced their car to bring to a halt. As soon as the car stopped, Lakhvinder @ Lakha fired at them and robbed away Rs.40 lac cash kept in a bag and the amount was later distributed among them. After committing the crime, the accused Lakhvinder had fled to Punjab and travelled many parts of India to evade arrest.

        Lakhvinder @Lakha was born in Village Fahari, Govind Garh, Alwar Rajasthan. His father was a farmer and he left studies after 5th standard due of lack of interest. He has three children. Later, he came to Delhi and started working as a mechanic in Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar. After that, he worked as a driver in a transport company. In 2004, he had stolen a truck containing liquor and sold it to a scrap dealer and was arrested in the case. After coming out of jail, he started committing petty theft. In 2014, he was arrested for stealing a truck from Jahangir Puri area. He used to change his house frequently to avoid his apprehension. He is previously involved in the following two cases: 
1.      FIRNo.71/04 u/s 61/78 Excise Act & 408/411/34 IPC, PS Gulabi Bagh.
2.     FIRNo.141/12 u/s 379/411/34 IPC, PS Jahangir Puri.

Crime Branch has arrested two dreaded and desperate criminals namely (1) Gyanender @ Gadgu (29 yrs) s/o Mahender r/o Village Mandhothi, Distt. Jhajjar, Haryana, who is wanted in two sensational cases of murder of Haryana including one that of a brutal massacre, one case of attempt to murder of Badli, Delhi and 3 cases of extortion in Delhi & Haryana and (2) Rajeev Dahiya @ Raju (39 yrs) s/o Sukhbir Singh r/o R-95, Gali No. 15 A, Sawtanter Nagar, Narela, Delhi (permanent address-Village Nahari, Distt. Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money. During the course of interaction,Satheesh Nair had shown his Identity Card to this complainant to convince him that he was an IPS officer presently posted in Jaipur, Rajasthan and was expecting his next posting in Delhi.
