Murder Case of PS Daryaganj Solved Within 48 Hours

With the arrest of  (1) Ms Poonam (name changed), aged about 32 years old r/o Mandwali Delhi, (2) Virender, aged about 43 years r/o Mandawali, Delhi and (3) Satyapal, aged about 27 years r/o Gandhi Nagar, Delhi, Central District police has solved a murder case of Satvinder Singh @ Bobby r/o Pitampura, Delhi, whose dead body was thrown on Geeta Colony  flyover to ITO loop in the area of  P.S. Daryaganj, Delhi. The incident had taken place in the intervening night of 24/25-02-2015.
Cash Rs. 40,000/- and TSR used in the commission of crime have been seized.

On 27.02.2015 an PCR call was received vide DD No. 15A at 10:45 AM regarding lying a dead body on  Geeta Colony flyover to ITO loop Daryagnj, Delhi.  On receipt of DD entry Insp. Suraj Bhan Gautam along with staff rushed to the spot and found a dead body of a male age about 45-50 years lying in the inverted position and wrapped in a blanket. The legs of dead body were also tied with the help of towel. The dead body was slightly de-composed. On the inspection of dead body, in heart shape crossing by arrow I LOVE MITI was tattood on the right arms of the deceased and one metro card was found in his pocket of jeans paint. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 141/15 U/S 302/201 IPC was registered at PS Daryaganj, Delhi and the investigation was taken up.    

                Considering the gravity of the offence, several teams headed by Insp. Suraj Bhan Gautam, Insp. Investigation/Daryaganj, Insp. Amrit Raj- ATO/Daryaganj, Insp. Satender Mohan, (Insp. Special staff/Central District), Insp. Anil Sharma, SHO/Chandni Mahal, Insp. Pardeep Kumar Paliwal, SHO/ Jama Masjid, SI Manoj Kumar, PS- Daryaganj under the supervision of Sh. J.K. Sharma, ACP/DIU (looking after the work of ACP/Daryaganj)  were constituted.

                On the basis of local intelligence and technical help and photograph of dead body, the dead body was identified as Satvinder Singh @ Bobby r/o Pitampura Delhi.
During investigation of the above case, technical analyses lead to one Poonam (name changed) r/o Madawali, Delhi.  She was questioned at length. During investigation, it was revealed that the deceased Satvinder Singh @ Bobby had illicit relations with Poonam and at the same time he was also involved with another woman namely Mamta (name changed).  But Poonam did not like the relation of deceased with Mamta.  Poonam was also in dire need of money.  In the intervening night of 24/25-02-2015 at about 11:30 p.m. the deceased Satvinder Singh @ Bobby had come to her house in drunken condition. 
She noticed that the deceased Satvinder Singh @ Bobby has cash Rs. 50,000/-. She asked for money but the deceased gave her only cash Rs. 2000/-. But she was not satisfied with this amount.  She hatched a conspiracy to eliminate him.  In the morning of 25-02-2015, when the deceased was inebriated condition, she strangulated him and took away the remaining cash Rs. 48,000/-. 
                 The dead body was in her house till evening.  In the evening, the body was wrapped in a blanket with the help of her mother’s sister namely Priya (name changed) who use to live with Poonam and maternal uncle Virender who lives in adjacent room.  Poonam arranged one TSR and all the three brought down the dead body and kept in the TSR and dumped the dead body on turning point towards ITO on Geeta Colony Flyover, Daryaganj.  Poonam gave Rs. 5,000/- to TSR driver for his act.  Poonam also gave Rs. 5,000/- to her mother’s sister Priya. On next day i.e. 26-02-2015,  Priya fled away and Poonam threw the mobile phone and shoe of the deceased in Yamuna River.
Later on, accused Poonam, her maternal uncle Virender and TSR driver Satyapal have been arrested by the police team. Cash Rs, 40,000/- have been recovered from accused Poonam.  TSR, used in the commission of crime, has been seized.
Further investigation/interrogation is in progress.

(2)     TSR used in the commission of crime has been seized.


1.     Ms Poonam  r/o  Mandwali Delhi is 32 years old and has studied up to 8th class. 
2.    Virender r/o Mandwali Delhi is 43 years old.  He is illiterate. 
3.    Satya Pal r/o Gandhi Nagar, Delhi is 27 years old and has studied up to 8thclass.   He is a TSR driver.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money.
