Dacoity in a Liquor Shop in Pacific North Mall, Pitampura Solved

The staff of P.S. Maurya Enclave and Special Staff of North-West District have arrested two persons namely Hari Singh and Deepak Chaudhary who alongwith their 5 accomplices had committed dacoity in a liquor shop in Pacific North Mall, Pitampura in the intervening night of 13/14.3.15 by over powering the security guard at knife point. 

          In the intervening night of 13/14.3.15, a PCR call at 3.56 AM was received at P.S. Maurya Enclave regarding breaking of door of liquor shop in front of City Park Hotel, Pitampura and attempt to cause hurt to the security guard. Immediately police reached the spot and came to know that after midnight some persons overpowered security guard Rajpal at the point of knife and after breaking open the lock of shop, the robbers took away several cases of liquor. On the statement of security guard, a case vide FIR No. 232/15, u/s 395/397 IPC, PS Maurya Enclave was registered.  During survey, it was found that 63 cases of 100 Pipers and Black & White Blended Scotch Whisky worth more than Rs.9 lacs were robbed from the liquor shop.
                                          
A police team comprising of Inspr. Bijender Singh Chillar, ATO/PS Maurya Enclave, SI Ram Manohar, HC Subhash, Ct. Ashok etc. of PS Maurya Enclave and SI Ajay Kumar and Ct. Ajeet of Special Staff led by Inspr. Mukesh Kumar, SHO/Maurya Enclave was constituted under the overall supervision of Sh. Surender Dahiya, ACP/Saraswati Vihar to arrest the robbers and to recover the robbed liquor cases.


During investigation, the team inspected the crime scene and examined the security guard and the owner of the wine shop. It revealed that the robbers had left one mobile phone at the spot. During thorough investigation, it revealed that one Deepak resident of Budh Vihar who worked as driver for supplying liquor cases was missing besides, one Harpal resident of Budh Vihar who had left his mobile phone at the spot. They used to work at a taxi stand in the area of Lawrence Road, Delhi. The taxi stand owner Hari Singh was questioned who initially tried to feign ignorance about the incident of dacoity or the whereabouts of Deepak and Harpal but during sustained interrogation, he broke down and disclosed that he was mastermind the incident of dacoity in the liquor shop. He further disclosed that he alongwith his brothers namely Yogender, Manoj, Suraj and drivers namely Deepak, Sri Kant and Harpal had committed dacoity in the liquor shop.

It also revealed that Hari Singh had suffered huge loss due to cheating by his colleague and hence, he was in need of huge money. They were aware that huge stock of liquor has recently been transported in the liquor shop at Pitampura. Accordingly, they had hatched plan to commit dacoity at the said place. In the intervening night of 13/14.3.15, the accused persons, except Hari Singh, reached the liquor shop at Pitampura in a Tata 407 vehicle. Hari Singh reached in his car. The accused persons overpowered the security guard on the point of knife and after breaking open the lock of the shop, they entered in the shop. While they were loading the liquor cases in the vehicle, they heard the siren of police patrolling party and hurriedly left the shop. Accused Hari Singh left the spot and went to his village Sikar, Rajasthan after keeping the robbed wine liquor cases in his office at Lawrence Road. The accused persons left their houses sensing police action.

Both accused Hari Singh and Deepak were arrested on 15.3.15. At their instance, 50 cases of liquor of 100 Pipers and Black and White Whisky brand were recovered from Lawrence Road and 01 case of liquor has been recovered from the house of accused Deepak at Budh Vihar. Further efforts are being made to recover the remaining robbed liquor cases and to arrest the remaining accused persons.

1.   Hari Singh, aged 30 years belongs to Sikar, Rajasthan. He runs a taxi stand at A-47A, Lawrence Road, Delhi.

2.   Deepak Chaudhary, aged 32 years, is a resident of Budh Vihar, Delhi and a driver by profession.

RECOVERY:
1.   51 cases of robbed liquor.
One mobile phone.
