DP, Outer District Solved a Case of Kidnapping for Ransom

On 21/03/15 a lady namely Seema Chopra came to police station KNK Marg and reported that her nephew namely Karan Chopra has been abducted by two persons namely Shivam Chauhan and Karan. They are demanding ransom money of Rs. 3 lacs and had also sent a photographs of her nephew Karan @ Kannu on Whats app after inflicting injuries on him. She further stated that they are threatening that they will kill him if their demand is not fulfilled. Accordingly case FIR No 320/15 dt 21/3/15 u/s 364A/34 IPC PS K N Katju Marg was registered and investigation taken up.

             In order to arrest the accused persons and also to rescue the abducted person Kannu  special teams of PS K.N.Katju under the  over all supervision Sh. Sukant S Ballabh ACP/SP Badli and in the supervision of SHO Insp. Rajeev Bhardwaj along with Insp. AATS and Insp. Spl. Staff consisting Insp. Anil Sharma, SI L.N. Saini , SI Anwar Khan HC Partap Vikram No. 249/OD, Ct. Manoj No. 863 /OD and Ct.  Mahender No. 1314/OD  was constituted and raids were conducted on the suspected location/areas. With the great efforts of team members accused persons namely Shivam @ Monu S/o Anil Chauhan R/o H No 83 BH- Block Shalimar Bag Delhi, Age-21 Yrs and Karan Sharma @ Kaushal Sharma S/o Bharat Bushan R/o B-78A DDA Flat Shivaji Enclave Near Sanjay Gandhi Animal Hospital Delhi, Age-29 Yrs. were arrested and on their instance the abducted person namely Kannu Chopra was  rescued from near  Veer Bazar Road, Nangli Dairy, Dwarka along with the Indigo Car No. DL 4CU 6532 vehicle used in abducting the person namely Kannu @ Karan Chopra.  Subsequent investigation was carried out and complicity of Sh Bharat Bhushan (Father of accused Karan Sharma @ Kaushal)  was also found. Thus, accused Bharat Bhushan was also arrested on 22.03.15 and weapon of offence (Draati) was also recovered.


                   During interrogation accused person Shivam and Karan disclosed that presently they are jobless and use to   play gambling and lost Rs 3 Lacs in the gambling recently. They wanted to recover the gambled amount due to which they hatched a conspiracy and committed the abduction of Karan @ Kannu  and demanded the ransom from Ms Seema Chopra who is a affluent person.

                   Accused persons both Shivam and Karan @ Kaushal  hatched a conspiracy and abducted the Karan @ Kannu from his house. They made a  phone call to his Bua namely Ms Seema Chopra and demanded for Rs 3 Lacs but she did not reply. After this they sent a photo of victim Karan @ Kannu through WhatsApp to his  Bua in  injured condition to pressurize her. They  took the abducted person firstly to Gurgaon and later on to the Veer Bazar Road  Nangli Dairy Dwarka.

1.   Shivam @ Monu S/o Anil Chauhan R/o H  No 83  BH- Block Shalimar Bag Delhi, Age-21 Yrs
2.   Karan Sharma @ Kaushal Sharma S/o Bharat  Bushan R/o B-78A DDA Flat Shiwaji Enclave Near Sanjay Gandhi Animal Hospital Delhi, Age-29.
               Both accused persons are presently jobless and are in the bad  habit of   gambling/Satta. They are school drop outs.
3.   Bharat Bhushan S/o Manohar Lal   R/o B-78A DDA Flat Shiwaji Enclave Near Sanjay Gandhi Animal Hospital Delhi, Age-65.
           He is a  car mechanic  and having financial crunches.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money. During the course of interaction,Satheesh Nair had shown his Identity Card to this complainant to convince him that he was an IPS officer presently posted in Jaipur, Rajasthan and was expecting his next posting in Delhi.
