Person Involved in Selling Pre-Activated SIM Cards Arrested

During investigation of espionage case in which five persons were arrested for providing secret and confidential information to Pakistan based agencies, it was revealed that PIO (Pakistan’s Intelligence Operative) was using a Delhi Vodafone number from Indo-Pak border to contact his agents in India. Investigation revealed that the said number was issued from Delhi on fake ID. Looking into the seriousness of the matter that number issued on fake IDs can not only be used by the criminals and anti social elements to conceal their identity but also by PIOs for anti national activities. A team of Inter State Cell led by ACP KPS Malhotra and consisting of Inspr. PC Yadav, SIs Mandeep, Sandeep, HCs Dinesh, Kartar, Santraj, Suresh, Cts. Sandeep, Deepak, Vinod, Omprakash, Rajesh under the supervision of DCP Bhisham Singh and overall supervision of Addl.CP Alok Kumar was constituted to look into the matter for doing the needful.
INFORMATION AND ARREST: -
Input was received that one Ankush sells pre- activated SIM cards issued on fake/forge IDs. Accordingly, raid was conducted and Ankush Khandelwal (28 yrs) s/o Rajendra Prasad r/o C-4/110, Sector-5, Rohini, New Delhi was apprehended with 205 pre-activated SIM cards, 28 customeridentification forms (CAF), forged voter ID cards and 5 mobile phones. On interrogation, it was found that he was involved in getting the prepaid SIM cards activated on fake or forged IDs and then selling the same to retailers/buyers for Rs.500 each. In this manner, customers have to pay Rs.500/- to get pre-activated SIM cards without following the formality of filling up CAF or furnishing his ID. A case vide FIR No.184/15 u/s 417/465/468/471 IPC has been registered at PS Crime Branch in this regard and accused was arrested in the case.
        Accused Ankush Khandelwal is permanent resident of Alwar and he posses master’s degree in Political Science from Rajasthan University.

1.           205 pre-activated SIM cards
2.           5 mobile phones
3.           28 CAFs and fake/forge voter ID cards.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money.
