One Person Arrested for Celebratory Firing in Wedding Function

The Staff of P.S Bharat Nagar, North-West District has arrested a person who indulged in celebratory firing at a marriage function GTK Road Industrial area, Delhi. The accused has been identified as Rohit Dahiya R/o Vill Gopalpur, Sonipat, Haryana. He had come to attend the marriage party of his friend’s daughter at The Grace Banquet Hall Industrial area. One .12 Bore Double Barrel Gun, one .32 Bore license revolver and seven live cartridges of .12 Bore etc. have been recovered from the possession of accused.
INCIDENT: -
    Brief facts of the case are that on 6.12.15 a PCR call was received that few people are firing at a marriage function at The Grace Banquet Hall Industrial area Delhi. The staff of PS Bharat Nagar immediately rush to the spot and detained three persons who were dancing in front of a Baleno Car parked near the Banquet Hall. One of them had Double Barrel Gun in his hand and was dancing with that gun in drunken State. He was apprehended and his personal search was made. Seven live cartridges of .12 bore were also recovered from his possession. He was later identified as Rohit Dahiya. The Double Barrel gun was of his cousin Kuldeep Dahiya. One .32 bore Licensed Revolver was also recovered from his possession but he had the arm License for Haryana only. Rohit Dahiya fired celebrated gun shots in the function. After Inspection 03 used Cartridges of .12 Bore were also recovered from the spot. Accordingly a case vide FIR No. 734/15, dated 06/12/2015, U/S 336 IPC & 25/27/30 Arms Act, P.S Bharat Nagar Delhi was registered.

        The accused Rohit Dahiya and his friends tried to resist while they were being taken to police station. SHO Bharat Nagar had to rush the spot. They were finally brought to police station and accused Rohit was taken into custody.

INVESTIGATION & INTERROGATION:
   During interrogation, accused Rohit Dahiya disclosed that he had come to attend the marriage function of his friend Kamla Neol’s daughter in The Grace Banquet Hall. He consumed liquor with his friends and fired
three rounds in the air in celebration. He had one Licensed Revolver of .32 Bore licensed issued from Haryana. He took Double Barrel Gun of .12 Bore from his cousin Kuldeep Dahiya S/o Sh. Rameshwar Dahiya R/o Vill Gopalpur Sonipat Haryana and used the same in the function. As per his version the Double Barrel Gun was also a licensed weapon but Kuldeep Dahiya illegally handed over the same to the accused Rohit Dahiya.
POLICE TEAM:
            A team comprising the following officers of P.S Bharat Nagar/NWD under the close supervision of Insp. Satyaveer Singh SHO, P.S Bharat Nagar and Sh. Saurabh Chandra, ACP/Sub Div. Ashok Vihar,North-West Distt. Delhi took prompt and swift action leading to the arrest of accused Rohit Dahiya and recovered the weapons and cartridges etc.

PROFILE OF THE ACCUSED:

Rohit Dahiya:- He is studied upto 12th class. He is a partner in a school in Vill Hasangarh, Rohtak, Haryana and also works as a financer in Rani Bagh Delhi.

2.   One .32 Bore Licensed Revolver Arm License (for Haryana only).
3.   Seven Live Cartridges of .12 Bore
4.   03 used Cartridges of .12 Bore

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money.
