Infamous & Notorious Pratap Gang of Pick Pockets Busted

The team of Special Staff/West District has busted a gang of pick pockets (1) Pratap (2) Mahender Pal @ Gumri and (3) Subhash. They have been apprehended on secret information of HC Omkar Sharma from Rohtak Road under Punjabi Bagh Metro Station, when they came for committing pick pocket and selling the earlier stolen mob phones. On their search, 03 mobile phones without SIM have been recovered from each i.e. total 09 Mobile Phones.

On sustained interrogation, they pointed out the place of pick pocketing/theft. They used to commit pick pocketing in bus or at bus- stands. Their probable bus route for committing pick pocket is Nangloi to Punjabi Bagh. Total nine cases have been worked out from the recovery of mobile phones. Mobile Phones recovered are androids and are of make Samsung, Sony, Micro-max etc. Leader of the gang is Pratap. He is Bad Character of PS Mangol puri & involved in more than 36 cases.

1.    Pratap s/o Sita Ram r/o H No X-630 Mangol Puri Delhi Age 55 Yrs. He has studied upto 5th class. He fell in bad company. He is leader of the gang. Previous involvements    36

2.    Mahender Pal @ Gumri s/o Govind Ram r/o H No D-611 Gali No 11 Mangol Puri Delhi, Age 35 Yrs. He has studied upto 3rd  class. Previous involvements    06

3.    Subhash s/o Shankar Lal r/o E Block Snan Ghar Mangol Puri Delhi. Age 46 Yrs. He has studied upto 2nd class.

On the basis of secret information of HC Omkar Sharma, a team of Special Staff comprising of SI Charan Singh, ASI Bhawnesh, ASI Mohan Lal, HC Vinod, HC Sunil, HC Shashi Kant, Ct Sundar Lal, Ct Samundar & W/Ct Divya, headed by Inspr. Surender Singh Rathee, under close supervision of Sh. Dinesh Kumar-ACP Operation/West District, apprehended the above persons.


    Further investigation is on. The staff who have done the above good work are being suitably rewarded.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money. During the course of interaction,Satheesh Nair had shown his Identity Card to this complainant to convince him that he was an IPS officer presently posted in Jaipur, Rajasthan and was expecting his next posting in Delhi.
