Elusive mobile phone thief nabbed

Sleuths of IGIA unit have nabbed a mobile phone thief namely Narender Kumar, aged 38 years who was wanted in case FIR No. 290/2015 dated 11/07/2015 U/S 379 IPC, PS IGI Airport. Three mobile phones have been recovered from his possession.

Gist of Case:  On 11/07/2015, a case  vide FIR No. 290/2015 dated 11/07/2015 U/S 379 IPC was registered  on the complaint of Dhananjay Pratap of SVS Logistics Company having its office at DB/26B, DDA Flats Hari Nagar, Delhi. In this case a shipment of 1500 HTC mobile phones came from Hongkong and was to be delivered to NPS Telecom Pvt. Ltd., Okhla through Custom House Agent i.e. M/S SVS Logistic Private Limited, HariNagar-New Delhi. The said phones were in three pallets consisting of 1200 phones in two pallets and 300 in one pallet. Around 01:00 A.M. on 11/10/15 one pallet consisting of 600 mobile phones was got stolen.
            During investigation six accused persons were arrested by the dedicated team and 351 mobile phones were recovered, but accused Narender Kumar was at large.

Arrested person:

            All out efforts were kept Continue by the dedicated team and on 30.11.2015 accused Narender Kumar S/o Hari Prasad Singh R/o Village Mahuvaban Distt. Pratapgarh, UP, aged 38 year was arrested in this case.
Accused was subjected to sustained interrogation, who revealed that he was a driver at Cargo and had good knowledge of all type of shipments. Accused confessed his crime and three stolen mobile phones have been recovered from his possession.

Three stolen HTC mobile phones.


All out efforts are being made to effect more recovery. Staff involved in this good work is being rewarded suitably.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money. During the course of interaction,Satheesh Nair had shown his Identity Card to this complainant to convince him that he was an IPS officer presently posted in Jaipur, Rajasthan and was expecting his next posting in Delhi.
