Progress on Delhi's Ex-Law Minister's Fake Degree Case

Ø Allegation of obtaining enrolment with Bar Council, Delhi in 2011 by Sh. Jitender Singh Tomer by submitting forged academic documents (marks sheets, degree of B.Sc. graduation and provisional certificates, and marks sheets of LLB).
Ø An enquiry as per the direction of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in Lalita Kumari Vs State of UP was got conducted into the complaint.
Ø Two teams were sent to verify the documents attached with the complaint to Awadh University, Faizabad and Tilkamanjhi University, Bhagal Pur, Bihar.
Ø In the record of K.S. Saket Post-Graduation College, Ayodhya from where the alleged B.Sc. degree and marks sheets were issued in the name of Sh.Jitender Singh Tomer was not found in their college admission register.
Ø Roll numbers mentioned in the B.Sc. mark sheets/degree were not found in the college/university record.
Ø Controller of Examination of RML, Awadh University, Faizabad reported that no B.Sc. degree and marks sheets in the name of Sh.Jitender Singh Tomer have been issued by the University as per their record.
Ø The provisional certificate of LLB  in the name of Sh. Jitender singh Tomer issued from Tilkamanjhi University, Bhagal Pur, Bihar as per the University report has also been reported to be fake.
Ø The roll number mentioned in the provisional certificate of LLB was found to be allotted to another student, Sanjay Kumar Chaudhary, from a different stream issued in 1999.
Ø The facsimile signature of Rajender Prasad Singh as Controller of Examination, on the marks sheet of LLB (Part III) and Provisional Degree were found to be forged.
Ø In the V.N.S.L. Studies, Munger, Law College, admission record, it has been shown that Jitender Singh Tomer has obtained the B.Sc. degree from Awadh University, Faizabad, whereas in the record of Tilkamanjhi University, Bhagal Pur, Bihar he has shown to have been migrated from Bundel Khand University.
Ø Registration number mentioned in the Tilkamanjhi University, Bhagal Pur, Bihar record has been given in the name of Sh.Jitender Singh Tomer in the year 2001, whereas in LLB marks sheets of first and second year, the registration number has been given during the year 1996 & 1997.
Ø Bundel Khand University has clarified to Tilkamanjhi University, Bhagal Pur, Bihar that no such migration certificate, has been issued with the relevant number to Sh.Jitender Singh Tomer from their University.
Ø Based on the enquiry and the documents and reports obtained from Awadh University, Faizabad and Tilkamanjhi University Bhagal Pur, Bihar, and other enquiries from officials and ex-officials disclosed a cognizable offence. And accordingly, a case FIR No.605/15 u/s 420/467/468/471 and 120B IPC at PS Hauz Khas has been registered.
Ø During the course of investigation Sh. Jitender Singh Tomer was asked to join investigation and after his examination as per the established procedure, he was formally arrested.
Ø Further investigations are on.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money. During the course of interaction,Satheesh Nair had shown his Identity Card to this complainant to convince him that he was an IPS officer presently posted in Jaipur, Rajasthan and was expecting his next posting in Delhi.
