GANG OF EXTORTIONISTS LED BY DREADED GANGSTER OF UTTAR PRADESH AND UTTARAKHAND SANJEEV @ JEEVA BUSTED

Special Staff East District has arrested Sanjeev Maheshwari @ Jeeva the leader of a Gang of Extortionists being run from behind the bars. With his arrest Special Staff of East District has solved a case of extortion registered at P.S. Vivek Vihar, Delhi in which extortion threats for two flats of a society located in Posh area of Dehradun were demanded from a well known builder. The names of arrested gangsters are:

1.      Sanjeev Maheshwari @ Jeeva s/o Om Prakash r/o Vill- Adampur, Bhorkalan, Muzaffarnagar(UP)
2.      Sunil Awasthi s/o Kamal Awasthi r/o 2/147, Prem Nagar, Shukla Ganj, Unnao(UP)

                            From 18.12.2014 to 08.01.15, complainant, a well known builder of Ghaziabad and Dehradun, residing in the area of PS Vivek Vihar, received extortion threats, in which the caller posing himself as Sanjeev @ Jeeva threatened to kill him and his family members if he do not transfer two flats built by the complainant under the name Green View Apartment, Dehradun, Uttarakhand to his nominated person. Thereafter he received a number of calls threatening him for dire consequences and in all extortion calls the caller said he is calling from Barabanki Jail. Accordingly a case under appropriate sections was registered at PS Vivek Vihar, Delhi.
                                          
                                               Taking into account the gravity of the case the Special Staff of East Distt. was assigned the task to nab the extortionists and the investigation of the case was transferred to Special Staff East. A team under the close supervision of Insp. Manoj Pant I/C Spl. Staff East comprising SIs Vinay Yadav,  Arun Sindhu, KK Sharma, Kulbir, Sumit, HCs Manoj, Sirmohar, Jagsoran, Bijender, Praveen Kumar, Deep Chand, Ct.Praveen, Ct. Ravinder Bhati was formed to nab the gang of extortionists. During investigation informations about the named person Sanjeev Jeeva in the calls were collected. It was found that Sanjeev Jeeva is an infamous gangster criminal and is lodged in Barabanki Jail in connection with the murder of BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai vide FIR No. 589/05 PS Bhanwarkol, Gazipur(UP). Later during investigation through technical surveillance and informations and through raids conducted in Unnao and subsequent recoveries from the house of Sunil Awasthi it was ascertained that one Sunil Awasthi S/o Sh. Kamal Awasthi R/o H.No. 2/147, Near Ram Parbha Public School, Maholla- Prem Nagar, Shukla Ganj, Distt. Unnao, U.P is giving the extortion threats and it was found that Sunil Awasthi is an associate of Sanjeev Maheshwari @ Jeeva in two extortion cases of Uttar Pradesh viz. FIR No. 2285/11 u/s 384/34 IPC PS Barabanki Kotwali and a case of 2009 u/s 384/386/34 IPC PS Kotwali, Barabanki. Later due to pressure of police and raids, Sunil Awasthi surrendered before Barabanki Court in an old case and was arrested in this case. After his arrest Sanjeev @ Jeeva presently lodged in Mainpuri Jail has also been arrested in the case.

                         Sanjeev @ Jeeva during interrogation revealed that he is lodged in jail for the last about nine years in connection with the murder of BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai vide FIR No. 589/05 PS Bhanwarkol, Gazipur(UP) along with his associates Munna Bajrangi and Mukhtyar Ahmad Ansari. During his stay in Jails he started extorting businessman of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand with the help of his associates outside Jail. They procured SIMs on fake name and address and cheap mobile phones for making extortion calls and used one SIM and one mobile phone to extort one businessman. He revealed that several industry owners, big builders and big businessmen of Haridwar, Roorkee, Lucknow have been extorted by them but during investigation none of them got registered a FIR due to fear of this dreaded gangster.

1.      Sanjeev Maheshwari @ Jeeva s/o Om Prakash r/o Vill- Adampur, Bhorkalan, Muzaffarnagar(UP), Age 41 years married having three kids. 12th pass. He did a course of lab technician and from year 1992 to 1995 he worked as an assistant lab technician in a Nursing Home in Muzaffarnagar. Later, in a land dispute and few robbery cases he was arrested in the year 1995. In Muzaffarnagar Jail he came in contact with a Gang lord of Western UP namely Satender Barwala. In 1996 he came out of jail and on the directions of Satender Barwala went to Farrukhabad in search of job. Barwala had told him to meet one Vijay Singh of Farrukhabad whose wife was Nagar Palika Chairperson. But instead of giving him job, Vijay Singh lured Jeeva to kill his rival Farrukhabad BJP MLA Brahamdutt Dwivedi. Jeeva on his instructions along with his associates Balvinder Singh and Ramesh Thakur killed BJP MLA on February 11, 1997 along with his guard. Later Ramesh Thakur was killed in an encounter and Jeeva was arrested. Later Vijay Singh became MLA of Farrukhabad and in 2001 Jeeva got bail from CBI Court. Jeeva and Vijay Singh are convicted in this murder by CBI Court. After this he along with Satender Barwala again came in crime of murder and kidnapping for ransom in Khatauli and Muzaffarnagar area. After this in 2002, he along with Barwala were arrested by Mumbai Crime Branch Team led by Insp Pradeep Sharma and SI Daya Nayak. During this period in Lucknow Jail he came in contact with Gangster/Political Leader of UP East Mukhtyar Ansaari. In 2005 Jeeva again came on bail and Ansaari contracted him for killing BJP MLA Krishnand Rai due to political rivalry. Then Sanjeev Jeeva along with Munna Bajrangi, Ataur Rahman, Firdaus, Rinku, Ramu Mallah and Vishwas Nepali killed BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai alongwith seven more persons in a broad day light ghastly ambush. In all Eight persons were killed in this attack on Nov. 29, 2005. After this he was arrested by Special Cell of Delhi Police in 2006. From then onwards he is behind the bars and running his extortion racket from there. He is also arrested in two extortion cases in Barabanki and one Gangster case of Barabanki during his stay in Jail.


2.      Sunil Awasthi s/o Kamal Awasthi r/o 2/147, Prem Nagar, Shukla Ganj, Unnao(UP) aged 39 years, married having one kid. He is involved in murder, gangster act and several extortion cases. He extorted peoples on the directions of Sanjeev @ Jeeva.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money. During the course of interaction,Satheesh Nair had shown his Identity Card to this complainant to convince him that he was an IPS officer presently posted in Jaipur, Rajasthan and was expecting his next posting in Delhi.
