Two Drug Traffickers of Inter-State Module Arrested

Crime Branch has arrested two drug traffickers namely Rahul (22 yrs) s/o Naresh Kumar r/o Raghubir Nagar, Delhi and a 29 year old woman r/o Mahavir Enclave, Delhi and recovered 100 kg of fine quality ganja concealed by them in a Honda City car. Value of the recovered ganja is Rs. 1 crore (approximately) in the international market.

On a tip off, officers of Narcotics Cell led by DCP M.A. Rizvi, consisting of ACP Ravinder Kumar Tyagi, Inspr. Akash Rawat, SI Dinesh Kumar, HC Dharmender, Cts Sohanpal, Ramdass and W/Ct. Janita under the supervision of Addl.CP Alok Kumar has arrested two drug traffickers Rahul and a woman near ISBT Anand Vihar, Delhi on 31.8.2015. They were carrying consignment of ganja from Lamtapur, Odisha in a Honda City car No. DL 3 CAK 0711 driven by Rahul to deliver the same in Delhi. A case vide FIR No.134/15 u/s 20/25/29 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Crime Branch in this regard.
During their interrogation, it has been revealed that one drug trafficker Manjeet had allured them to work for him by offering lucrative amount for supply of ganja from Odisha to Delhi. Manjeet had suggested that if a man is accompanied by a woman in a vehicle, the police personnel would assume them as husband-wife and not suspect them. Accordingly, Rahul and his associate woman started bringing ganja from Odisha in vehicles for delivery to the contacts of Manjeet in Delhi. They were getting Rs.10,000/- each for delivery of a consignment. One contact of Manjeet in Odisha namely Mama used to give them the consignment of ganja in the forests of Lamtapur, Odisha. Mama reportedly procures ganja from the forests in the Naxalite area of Odisha. Manjeet is presently lodged in Tihar Jail for the last about 3 months in an NDPS case and he is operating through his contacts.
1.           Accused Rahul (22 yrs) s/o Naresh Kumar r/o Raghubir Nagar, Delhi has studied upto 5th standard in his village Malakheda, district- Alwar, Rajasthan. His family had shifted to Raghubir Nagar, Delhi about 15 years ago. His father is a driver and he is the eldest among two brothers and one sister. About 2 years back, he had come in contact with drug trafficker Manjeet r/o Raghubir Nagar and joined him to earn easy money.
The woman accused is residing with her husband in a rented accommodation at Mahavir Enclave, Delhi. Her husband is a daily wager and could not meet the needs of the family. She had come in contact of Manjeet r/o Raghubir Nagar about 4-5 years ago and joined him to make easy quick money.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money.
