Gang of Budding Robbers Busted

On 01.09.15, Complainant Mr. Rakesh Sharma reported at Police Station Janak Puri/West District that he is working in a printing press at Binda Pur. At around 08:30 PM, while he was going towards Tilak Pul red light, three guys caught him hold while the fourth guy took out his mobile phone from his pocket and all fled away. He chased them and caught one of them (juvenile), who had taken out his phone forcibly. In the meantime, SI Laxman alongwith Const. Zile Singh reached there and the complainant handed over the accused along with his robbed mobile phone to them. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 1102/15 u/s 392/411/34 IPC was registered and the investigation was taken up earnestly.

                Under the close supervision of ACP/Vikas Puri and on the directions of Inspr. R.S. Meena -SHO/ Janak Puri, a team comprising SI Laxman, SI Umesh, HC Sanej No. 463/W, HC Rajender No. 349/W and Ct.


Maninder No.1241/W and Ct. Zile Singh No. 3318/W  was constituted  and raids were conducted at the possible hideouts and ultimately two accused namely  Rahul and  Vipin were arrested and one juvenile was also apprehended. During the course of sustained interrogation, they confessed that they have committed two more robberies in the area of PS Janak Puri.

Cases worked out: 
·         FIR No. 1032/15 U/S 392/34 IPC PS. Janak Puri.
·         FIR No. 1082/15 U/S 392/394/397/34 IPC PS. Janak Puri.
·         FIR No. 1102/15 U/S 392/411/34 IPC PS. Janak Puri.

During the course of sustained interrogation, they disclosed that they all together used to encircle, chock  the lonely persons and took out his valuables on the point of knife and even on resistance from the prey they do not hesitate to inflict severe injuries.

PROFILE :
·        Rahul S/O Lallan R/O A-51, Bindapur PKT-4 Delhi age 19 years. He studied upto 9th standard. He is basically from Distt. Ajamgarh. He is working as a waiter in a tent house situated at Chankya Place. Previously he was arrested in two cases of  robbery/snatching.

·        Vipin S/O Narender R/O B-24, Gali No. 16, Mahavir Enclave age 19 years. He studied upto 3rd standard and couldn’t proceed his study because of poverty and came in contact of Rahul.

As per their version, their low income was not suffice  to accomplish luxurious life and that’s why they used to commit robbery and snatching.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money. During the course of interaction,Satheesh Nair had shown his Identity Card to this complainant to convince him that he was an IPS officer presently posted in Jaipur, Rajasthan and was expecting his next posting in Delhi.
