Chirag Subha with his Two Associates Committed Burglary iIn his Own Farm House, Arrested

A team of PS Vasant Kunj South, South District has arrested four burglars namely Chirag Kumar Subba (age 20 years), Archit Raheja (age 19 years), Himanshu Badhana (age 20 years) and receiver of stolen property namely Yogesh Verma (age 33 years) and solved a burglary incident occurred in a farm house in Ghitorni, in the area of PS Vasant Kunj South.  With the arrest of accused persons, stolen cash, gold / silver jewelry, 1 air conditioner and 1 costly wrist watch worth Rs. 5 lacs, recovered.

Brief Facts:

          On 18.09.15, Smt. Jyoti Subba r/o Subba Farm House, MG Road, Ghitorni, New Delhi reported that she had left for abroad on 19.08.15 and returned back on 11.09.15.  On 17.09.15, when she opened her locker, she found that the jewelry articles consisting of gold / silver necklaces, rings, costly watch and other valuables amounting to around Rs. 30 lacs were missing from her locker.  She further reported that locks of the locker were intact and the keys were in her safe custody. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 1031/15 dated 18.09.15 u/s 457/380 IPC was registered at PS V.K. South and investigation was taken up.

Investigation :

In order to arrest the culprits, a team consisting of   Inspr. Ugesh Kumar, SI Rakesh, SI Raj Kumar, HC Satya Prakash, HC Pradeep, Ct Devender, Ct Rahul, Ct Inderjeet, Ct. Ashok and Ct. Balbir led by Inspr. Mahender Singh Dahiya under the supervision of Sh. K.P. Kukrety, ACP/Vasant Vihar was constituted.  During investigation, the police team made enquiries from the employees and ex-employees who earlier worked at the farm house but there was no clue about the culprits. However, during investigation, it came to notice that son of the complainant was living a lavish life and he had two bouncers to escort him. The police team interrogated the bouncers at length, who revealed that son of the complainant namely Chirag Subba had fallen in company of the bad elements and consumes alcohol daily. They further revealed that two boys namely Archit and Himanshu Badhana used to come at the farm house along with Chirag Subha in the absence of the complainant.

On this vital information, the police team traced Archit and Himanshu and during interrogation, they confessed their involvement in the burglary. They were arrested in the case and produced before the Hon’ble Court and their 3 days police remand was obtained.

Interrogation :

During interrogation, both accused disclosed that son of the complainant namely Chirag Subha was also involved in commission of crime as he was in dire need money for his friends. On their disclosure, accused Chirag Subha was arrested in the case.  At the instance of accused persons, part of stolen gold / silver jewelry, 1 costly wrist watch, 1 air conditioner and cash Rs. 3 lacs (earned after disposal of stolen property) were recovered. 

Accused Chirag Subha disclosed that he has an affair with a girl. He was hiding the relationship from his family as his family had refused to accept this relationship.  Thereafter, he started consuming liquor heavily. In order to settle her girlfriend, he hired a flat in Chhattarpur Enclave. To meet the expenses, he planned burglary along with his associates in his own farm house.  They also disclosed to have disposed large amount of the jewelry to a jeweler in Ghaziabad. At the instance of accused persons, receiver of the stolen property Yogesh Verma (a jeweler) has also been arrested.  Further investigation of the case is in progress and efforts are continued to effect more recovery of stolen property.

Profile of accused persons :

          Accused Chirag Kumar Subba (age 20 years) r/o Ghitorni, New Delhi has studied up to 12th class.  Accused Archit Raheja (age 19 years) r/o Balabgarh, Faridabad, Haryana has studied up to 11th class.  Accused Himanshu Badhana (age 20 years) r/o Shalimar Gardan, Ghaziabad, UP is pursuing Engineering (Civil) from Faridabad and accused Yogesh Verma (age 33 years) is BBA and running a jewelry shop in Ghaziabad. 

Recoveries :

1.   2 necklace golden color.
2.   1 silver color set with red and brown precious stones.
3.   1 mala with red color pearls.
4.   16 rings golden color with green and red color precious stones.
5.   28 silver rings with red and green color precious stones.
6.   One costly wrist watch golden color.
7.   Rs. 3 lacs cash (earned after disposal of stolen property).

8.   One Air Conditioner.
