Two Desperate Burglars Arrested : 16 Cases Solved

The team of Special Staff/South-East District has nabbed two desperate burglars namely 1) Abdul Buran @ Chicken aged 23 years s/o Mohd. Alam r/o Jhuggi No. S-46/66, Pahari No. 2, Taimoor Nagar, Delhi 2) Jahidul @ Kalu aged 22 years s/o Noor Mohd. r/o Jhuggi No. S-265/145, Pahari No. 1, Taimoor Nagar, Delhi and solved 16 cases of burglary, attempt of burglary and theft of South-East District.

          There was increase in the crime of house burglary and theft in the area of South East Distt. Operation Cell/SED was directed to start a drive to nab the criminals involved in such crime. Subsequently, a team led by Inspr. Naresh Kumar I/C Special Staff/SED comprising SI Sandeep Godara, HC Naveen Kumar, HC Harvir, HC Dharambir and Ct. Shekhar was constituted under the supervision of Sh. Ashok Saroha, ACP/Ops./SE. The team worked hard and developed local intelligence in the area. On 15/07/15, a secret information was received to SI Sandeep Godara that two burglars would come at C.V. Raman Marg, Maharani Bagh for selling of stolen mobile phones and laptop. Acting upon this information, a trap was laid and at about 9:50 PM, two persons identified as (1) Abdul Buran and (2) Jahidul @ Kalu, both residents of Taimoor Nagar, Delhi were apprehended and recovered three stolen mobile phones and one laptop from their possession.

Both the accused persons were subjected to sustained interrogation. The interrogation of accused Abdul Buran revealed that he is illiterate. In the year 2009, he came in the society of some bad elements and became drug addict. After that, he along with his accomplice Jahidul @ Kalu started committing burglaries to earn easy money for their drug addiction. He was previously involved in following four cases of burglaries -

          Other accused Jahidul @ Kalu also disclosed that he has studied up to 4th standard. He belongs to a poor family. He also fell in drug addiction and started assisting Abdul Buran in committing burglaries.

They used to carry an iron rod to break the padlocks of the main doors and enter the target house in the midnight when the inmates are in deepest sleep. After committing the theft, they sold the stolen property at cheaper prices to one Hussain of Taimoor Nagar, Delhi.

          At their instance, another two stolen mobile phones have also been recovered.

          Further investigation is in progress and efforts are being made to affect more recovery.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money. During the course of interaction,Satheesh Nair had shown his Identity Card to this complainant to convince him that he was an IPS officer presently posted in Jaipur, Rajasthan and was expecting his next posting in Delhi.
