201 KG Ganja (Cannabis) Recovered from Two Drug Traffickers
Crime Branch has arrested two drug traffickers
namely Nizamuddin
(22 yrs) s/o Noor Alam r/o Vill. Bastila Bajar, Distt. Gopal Ganj, Bihar and
Dharambir (22 yrs) s/o Rajender r/o Vill. Chilay, PS Baroni, Distt. Begusarai,
Bihar, and recovered 201 kg ganja
(cannabis) alongwith a TSR used in commission of crime.
There was input about inflow of huge
consignments of ganja from the adjoining states. It was learnt that the gang
members adopt various indigenous methods for transporting and delivering the
contraband to hoodwink the law enforcement agencies. In this regard, credible
information was received by South Eastern Range that two persons would come to
supply huge quantity of ganja to someone near Pul Prahladpur Delhi.
Accordingly, a team led by ACP KPS Malhotra and consisting of Inspr. Pankaj
Singh, SIs Vishal Chaudhary, Ombir Singh, ASI Dharmender, HCs Naresh, Pardeep, Jagpal, Prithvi, Sunil, Cts Vinod,
Rohit, Kusumpal, Sanjeev, Ankit, Sandeep and Surender was constituted under the
supervision of DCP Bhisham Singh to apprehend them. The team laid a trap at Pul
Prahladpur near Surajkund and intercepted one TSR and apprehended two persons
namely Dharambir s/o Rajender s/o Vill. Chilay, PS Baroni, Distt Begusarai,
Bihar and the TSR driver namely Nizamuddin
s/o Noor Alam r/o Vill. Bastila Bajar, PS Gopal Ganj, Distt. Gopal Ganj, Bihar.
On checking, seven plastic bags containing 201 kg ganja were recovered from the
TSR.
During sustained interrogation, it was
revealed that the accused Nizamuddin & Dharambir were involved in supplying
ganja to their contacts in Delhi and Haryana. Both the accused belong to Bihar
and had come to Delhi for their livelihood, but later they came in contact of
one drug trafficker Munna who lured them to join drug trafficking for making
easy and quick money. They further disclosed that they had brought ganja from a
godown in Ballabhgarh, Faridabad, Haryana. They were working on commission
basis and used to get about Rs. 10,000/- for delivery of each consignment. The
source of the recovered ganja has been identified and efforts are being made to
arrest him.
Accused Nizamuddin (22 yrs) s/o Noor Alam r/o
Vill. Bastila Bajar, PS Gopal Ganj, Distt. Gopal Ganj, Bihar is illiterate and his
father is a farmer. Accused Dharambir (22 yrs) s/o Rajender r/o Vill. Chilay,
PS Baroni, Distt. Begusarai, Bihar has studied upto 5th standard and
he has 3 children. They were using TSR to supply ganja in different parts of
Delhi NCR. Earlier, they used to transport ganja from Bihar in a Tempo for
distribution in Delhi.
RECOVERY: -
1. 201
kg Ganja in Seven plastic bags.
2. One TSR used
for transporting ganja.
